Why? Its the saddest, dumbest thing I've ever seen and only makes the game worse.

If you do it please stop.  Anybody flopping in a pick-up game with NO refs deserves a Metta World Peace elbow to the dome.

This older Asian dude once took a charge against me. I honestly had no idea what was going on

I blame Stern, the AAU, and the NBA culture in general

Ive never seen flopping. But I have noticed even as I'm walking by a park I hear an extraordinary amount of foul calls by kids arond 12 YO. it's disgusting. Even in NYC. Fouls were rare when I grew up. Mostly happened on point game when people would start hacking

My friend went to UCLA and said pick up games 100 times worse

Where I play no one calls fouls. When we were kids everyone used to call them, but as you get older you just have to take your daily dose of man the F up.

Still, some dudes really cross the line and act like they got 6 fouls to give.

Offensive fouls are non existent at my league... Hacking is ever so prevalent especially on the big men since they just crash the lane cause they know no one is going to take a charge.

That would turn Into a fight at any park I played at. Dudes wouldn't put up with that crap

You have dudes calling moving screens these days and taking dives.

Folks just emulating what they see on TV from Blake and other superstars that flop it up.

I know when I foul someone there is no flop needed.....I get my money's worth and give them ball up top.

Quit playing ball with those country folk PB.

moving screens getting called
thats wild

I played with these young dudes 18-20 awhile back outdoors and they were calling timeouts, taking smoke breaks, and using subs. I was like....."What in the hell, things done changed!"

Young cats these days spend too much time indoors and online. I had infinite energy and no responsibilities when I was a young teen.

I can understand subs if there's too many people but timeouts? Smoke breaks? Wtf?

I see subs when everyone is hung over and playing :x  some guys just can't finish. I've had to stop and get subbed out cuz I thought I was gonna barf

I see people take drink breaks all the time. But not like actually calling a time out

smoke break DURING a game just sounds painful.

I hate this, the fact that there's no FT's shouldn't dictate how you guard someone. It isn't really basketball anymore when someone tries to go up after a board and they get borderline mauled.

Kudos to you though for recognizing and embracing an un-ethical loophole in a social activity that has no real consequences. *Thumbs up*
