Finishline Credit Card errors and Holiday Retro releases

I failed to cop the fire Red vs and 88 retro 3s due to finishlines card error,between both release I had about 7 holds put on my credit and debit card. I decided to write Finishline a complaint email, i dont know what the result will be but i just wanted to make them aware. Maybe ill get a gift card or something

I missed out on the last 2 retocks and the 88 retro 3. Sooooooo frustrating. Today with the squadron 13 I had the same PayPal and cc error. After trying different cards etc I finally used my fiances card. Simply updated the cc info to her card and changed the name in the billing info with same address and worked like a charm! They are blocking me for some reason....

Good you got through, I got through on the FNL restock on the black/red 4s with the same card they wouldn't accept earlier in the week. We need the science behind this!
 
if you get a card error on FNL that usually means what u wanna buy has sold out

i got that error with concords and others, but with the 88 3's my first order it went straight through...when i went back, it failed.

yeah ur theory makes sense..smh

its an issue with returning users... if u go in as a guest itll go thru..i used my account and credit card it didnt go thru.. went in as a guest with that same cc and it went thru
 
This issue might be caused by the influx of customers and traffic at the time. It is definitely on their end. I tried 5 times with the 3s and used the same card 5x. It went through after the 5th time. But that was an hour later because I kept having to deal with the splash screen.

OP said they are okay with the 30 second screen. Im not! that thing is horrible too. I had 1 loading for over and hour and it never went through. I tried on another browser and it went through after 30 seconds. While the one for going for an hour was still rolling. smh. There is no real system to how that works. Just need to get lucky.

When the fire reds released they took out the money and added them to the cart...then they said they sold out...

my around the way spot had em for 200 - worked out well for me in the end but yeah FL sucks

now they want me to buy gift cards? bet money it wouldnt let me buy an online gift card either
 
It was pure torture to see the 88s at the payment screen and FNL wouldn't accept my 6 CCs over 10 times each in a span of about 5 minutes. I even snatched up my wife's CC and tried about 5 times and still received the error message. I used the think it would come up when you try to cop multiple pairs back to back, but I've done it before without any problems a few years ago.

I disagree with the item being sold out. Yesterday, same credit card issues in trying to get the BHM AJ 1. I texted my brother to get the shoes for me, it went through. And I figure he went online five minutes after.

Don't get me started on Wednesday. I know they had the WC 88s in stock, but I was just stuck in an endless loop of SPA or payment issues (mostly payment issues). And I did use the back door that was posted, but I tried to use my girl's CC to ship it to me, which was dumb.

The issue is your flagged profile, which might include your name, address and payment methods, ie CC #, PayPal, etc. I called their customer service and a rep told me it's an issue with their payment system. When your account is flagged, it prevents you from purchasing high-profile releases for 30 days. Mind you, I haven't been able to buy a pair of Jordan's since Dec 21. Missed out on the Bred 11s, Thunder 4s, Chicago AJ 1s, Bred 13s, WC 3s and BHM 1s.

I was able to buy the Squadron 13s on NDC without a problem. Later that morning, I, what the FA manager called "making it rain" at the mall when I copped the Kobe Pythons, Lebron Homes and Jet Foams. My CC company didn't call me or tried to block the charges.

Did anyone who had a flagged account use gift cards? I wouldn't have an issue of doing this for major releases. Sort of Pre loading funds.

And, I'm not cool with the SPA page. It is pretty random and doesn't work the way it's intended. The system FA/FTL/Champ's/Eastbay uses is more fair, I just can't stand how their site crawls to a halt.

NDC has the best infrastructure but to many people "gaming" the system. They'll post a twitter link and sizes will be sold out.

But the best way to buy shoes and most inconvenient is to just go to the store. I've down it with the AJ1, Bred 13s, Fire Red Vs, BHM Bron/Kobe and yesterday's releases and managed to get a pair.

I agree, but this thread isn't proof there is a problem with only two pages. All of the people complaining in the Bred 11, Bred 13, Fire Red 5, Thunder 4, Squadron 13, etc should come in here and post their issues.

Or so done could create an online petition and start a new thread (and maybe link to this one and to specific point sin other thread). I'd definitely sign it.

i bought the WC 2011 3, and had diff shipping and billinig and they were calling me everyday to "confirm"

that had to be what set it off
 
FNLs problem is yeah it says there was an error but it still charges my card each time I attempt to place an order so my card company sees that as suspicious activity and blocks my card from being used...I missed out on olympic 6s off another site on release day thanks to FNLs whack *** system
 
Why are accounts being "flagged"?  I probably tried my credit card 4 or 5 times on the '88s, and paypal 3 times, to no avail.

it just screwed me over from copping from another site AFTER tryin on FNL
 
Just seen this thread for the first time but yea, this exact issue has happened to me the last 4-5 times I've tried to order a JB retro off their site :smh:
 
I agree with it having to do with traffic and the size your trying to get... I tried buying the WC4, Bred13, and PO12 during the huge restock last thursday and was getting payment errors about 8-10 times. All for size 9.5... The next day they had The Bentley Ellis 9 restock, I was able to checkout a size 9.5 on the first sumbit with no error. So If I was able to grab that, I knew that your account being flagged excuse is all BS. Or else I would have got a payment error on that also just like any other releases the past couple months.

With the backdoor, there wasn't any traffic issues. I've also used the mobile trick to bypass the traffic and SPA issues. So in some cases when you're seeing SPA or it's acting really slow, yes, it's a case of traffic. But I think my issues have to do with their wonky payment system and the matter of my being flagged.

And I'm definitely flagged. Like I said in my last post, I couldn't buy the BHM AJ1. Minutes after, my brother did.

One of the admins had the same issue and posted about it in the Bred 11 thread.
