NT DJs / Producers / Musicians

sup fellas . been working on a project that's all flips and edits . taking elements from some of my favorite instrumentals and layering them over vocals, other instrumentsl, etc. i just uploaded it to soundcloud a few days ago -- check it out!

Yo! thought I would share this with the fellow NT'er producer/beatmakers. Any of you familiar with the producer !llmind? He's starting something pretty big imo for the producer/beatmaker community. It started from the ground up and funded by producers for producers. The site is called "BeatThread" and its designed for producers/beatmakers to get real honest feedback/criticism from the same community. Not only that, but it will serve as a platform to even get placements from major/indie artist shopping for beats. I don't see any fee's to join so that's a plus. Right now the site is live and appears in its beta stages with limited members. I guess the only way you can sign up right now is through a waiting list. Here's the link to get on the wait list BeatThread.biz Peace.

How long did it take you guys to make good beats? ive been trying to make beats for like like 2 months and my stuff is sooooo trash. my sequence is all messed up and i just cant get it right. right now im using logic and it is kind of confusing. I use a Akaimpk49 to make beats. i am really dedicated in trying to make music, im even teaching myself how to play the keys, after the keys will be the drums. Does it take time and i just have to wait longer to get it right?

You can't expect instant gratification
all the noobies do. everything is laid out for them online, all tools available on day 1. they expect to be nice on day 3. i remember warbeatz being the ONLY tutorials online for fl studio when i started. torrents werent even a thing yet

Do you guys that make "____ type beats" do so intentionally or do you end up thinking of an artist after you're finished?

guess that didnt work :/

But Check this! me my homies dropped an EP yesterday.
