u can check in itunes. go to the track a hit Command + i then go over to File.

There are a lot of tracks that are actually lower bit rates that are then put into a 320 Kbps file and then circulates the internet

I'm currently in a remix contest on Wavo, for Steve Angello's Size Records. If I win, I'll be released on Size which would be pretty massive.

Question for those who have been doing this for a while.

Do you practice audition and if so how? I'm able to put together detailed beats in my head without a clue about what the particular drums/keys are that I'm hearing. How do you get to the process where you can directly translate an idea in your head into reality?

I just scratched my 20 year itch and copped Logic Pro. I heard its not for beginners but I'm usually a fast learner.

i never try to make a beat that i already made in my head tbh

i just go thru a bunch of sounds and when i find one i like i take it from there
 
whats ktt? just copped the nektar panorama p4 cant wait for it to come in, wednesday :smokin time to stop painting by beats and work on my chords and scales. need to learn to play for real
 
OK...I just copped FL Studio 11. I have a very beginners question.

I'm going thru stock sounds in the left browser. How come when I drag a sound into the pattern pallette... It has a completely different pitch than it does when I preview it in the browser?

In the browser...it sounds much harder and darker and when I add it to the pattern...it sounds the complete opposite.
 
I haven't messed with FL in years but it sounds like you might have some sort of preset enabled that's changing the original sound.
