Crashed New Lease Car - Now what?

My dudes of NT, i need your advice.

Long story short, I leased a new Lexus CT 200h this month and decided to head to boston for a day trip. During the trip, a female driver managed to completely smashed my back bumper and demolished it. How? Standstill traffic and she rams right into me, it was such an impact that I hit 2 other cars in front of me domino effect... not my fault at all. Police report was done.

Question is - what do I do now? The car still drives after I ripped off the bumper. My airbags didnt deploy, seatbelt and airbag icons blinks constantly. Do I bring it back to the dealer to fix? My dad owns an auto shop, should I bring it there instead??

dont you have full insurance on it....get it fixed

Option 1: Take the woman to the cleaners via Insurance. Claim soft tissue damage and get a paid for vacation for a while if you feel it necessary. Option 2: Have her insurance pay for damages/repairs at your Lexus dealership and get on with life

All lease cars are required for full insurance. Is there a way to break the lease? I can get it fixed no prob, the question is whether to bring it back to the dealer or private ( my dads). I was told I might be able to break the lease contract since I got slammed w/o the airbags deploying. Has anyone been in my situation before?

um insurance should cover it easily.

why would you break the lease over this when you shouldnt have to pay a dime?

get a completely new car? So I can perhaps try to purchase it after the lease is up.

How does the health insurance work? I do feel neck sore now.. how much can I get?

maybe you should ask your pops, who:
i. runs an autoshop
ii. probably deals with situations like this 24/7
iii. has no reason to take advantage of you
What if his Dad set this whole thing up to drive up his own business

that's the bigger problem in hand

no one knows but if you want to fix your car and get money for your "injuries" you should be contacting a lawyer first thing tomorrow morning.

Why are you trying to get a new car just because it got hit? It's a lease so it's not like you're losing value since you won't be trying to sell it eventually. I thought air bags never deployed if the car was going under 14mph? If the damage is extensive and they write it off as totaled, I'm sure you're off the hook, but seeing as how it's a brand new car, I doubt that's how it works out.

i guess OP was born with a silver spoon because it makes no sense.

His payment will remain the same, he wont pay a cent for the damage, he doesnt own the car so he loses nothing.

So there is a police report? Did you get the female's information?

You need to call your insurance company. They'll be in contact with hers and the damage will get fixed, you'll get a loaner car and get it back like nothing happened. You're not gonna get out of the lease unless the car is totalled but it sounds like relatively minor damage...that's what insurance is for. I'm not sure if it'll be a situation where your dad can just fix it because if it's her insurance covering the damages, they'll likely have preferred auto body shops they work with.

In terms of the airbags not deploying, make your insurance company aware of that...I'm not eactly sure how that'll play out but you should see a doctor ASAP if you're in pain and contact a lawyer if you want to go that route, towards the other driver and/or Lexus' faulty airbags.

Op is leasing to own. That's why he wants a new car. At the end of his lease he wants a car with a clean title

Step out of the car, pour gasoline all over it, light a j and throw the lighter into the gasoline. Walk away like a bad*** :pimp:

Hope I helped

Not gonna happen.  An airbag will not deploy while you are at a stand still by design.  The car did not malfunction
