Shout out to sneakernews and modernnotoriety for support of this movement.

No one thought a Trainer SC II retro would ever happen and it did.

No one ever thought a Ewing retro would happen and it did.

No one thought a 180 pump retro would happen (and well, it still hasn't really)

No one thought Nike Air would come back to the Jordan's 3-6 and well.........

Also shout out to everyone that supported and continues to support the facebook page

and the video.

I have a feeling they're gonna be super limited. :smh:

Please don't give Jb ideas. A release like this for us old heads will be great and if they do it right with a few numbers, good price and nice release schedule im all for it. Better late than never but please no online only release.

Yeah but what should piss you off was that you couldn't see this coming yourself. Everyone kept thinking the Nike Air would be held back for another decade or something. It makes perfect sense to drop stuff without them and then revisit them in a couple years. It's a grab for sure, but the same thing is happening with the one's. Some are "limited" with Nike Air and the ones without have GR's. Wait and see, the white/black/red will come back in 2 years with Nike Air too. Just wait, 2014 is the 23rd anniversary of the VI's too, so I wouldn't be surprised to see them drop Nike Air on some of those as well. It just makes sense when you're pushing so many retros to market. Grab the money but then release a more desirable, exclusive NA version too. Appealing to hypebeasts and collectors both.

I'm sorry, but I don't believe in marketing ploys to help win me over as a consumer. For 13 years the Air Jordan 3 had Nike Air on the back, and then all of a sudden the decision was made to completely remove the branding. Consumers have bought countless old school Jordan classics without the Nike Air branding just because of the love for the shoes....I just find it ridiculous to have a product out 2 years ago and then re-release the same shoe, probably to the same consumer base who bought the previous drop because prior to it re-releasing..it hadn't been out since 2003. From a business perspective, it's a great move..we all get excited when something returns from the past we haven't had in awhile. For most of us, or it seems..some of us, it's not a thrill when you consider it's a limited tease....and the Nike Air branding should've never been taken off years ago in the first place.

I have my originals from 88 (worn) and several DS pairs of "Nike Air" 3s from 2001. Carting them through several moves, and taking care to store them, now seems like it was a waste of time. Once these 2013 joints drop, my collection becomes irrelevant. The point of collecting (i.e., having old or rare stuff that nobody has because they're not made any more) is now moot. EVERYTHING is being rereleased. Nothing old is special. Just wait a year and it will be back. I mean, Nike released the 3s last year! Part of why I always liked buying shoes was to have something special that not everyone else had. That has become impossible. What's next? Danny Supa Dunk retros? Eminem Jordan 2s? I'll always buy shoes, but my mindset now is strictly to wear them. Collecting is a total waste of time and money.

best believe im gonna be prepared, 2 laptaps, ipad, my brothers girlfriend helping as well.

im getting a pair, ill make sure of it

Ehhh. Honestly, I feel like JB could've done a better job.

Why would I want THE SAME SHOE that released in 2011 with the only difference being "Nike Air?"

They should have put the Nike Air on a different shoe that we haven't seen in a while.

Don't get me wrong, i'm for Nike Air, just not on the same shoe that was released almost 2 years ago.

I can't explain my happiness

 THANK YOU JB

Well i'll take the pair you don't wan't then.

Hmm....
*wonders if Fire Red 3s will have NIKE AIR*

I doubt it. Only reason this shoe is getting the "treatment" is because JB is trolling hard, and wants to have a 25 year commemoration of the slam dunk contest Jordan won in 88. The Fire Red 3 will more than likely have the Jumpman plastered on the back tab like any of the other 3's in the last decade.
