Just curious, have any of you guys noticed if your players are fans of your states other teams?

One thing I love about Wisconsin sports. Aaron Rodgers more than anyone reps the Brewers and Bucks. Everytime he's on sportcenter he's always rocking a Brewers fitted come summertime. Not just him though, through out the year during Bucks games they always show so and so from the Packers and Brewers at the Bucks game. Packers and Bucks players at the Brewers games. Brandon Jennings was just at Lambeau. Through twitter they're always repping and rooting for each others teams. I'm sure in other states guys go to the other teams games but I'm curious is if its just every once in a while cause its something to do for them or if its because they're genuine fans. Cause in Wisconsin it seems like each team is close knit and genuine fans of all Wisconsin sports. The Brewers and Packers are both big with home grown talent through the draft and a lot of guys end up staying for a long time so I'm wondering if that plays a role as well.

Side note: 2 years ago I remember walking right next to James Jones crossing the street to a Bucks playoff game :smokin

Naw Aaron Rodgers has been on record of saying he's a Kings fan, been one since he was a little kid

I see what you're saying. Kinda whack he wasn't a Sixers fan since he grew up there after Italy

I'm sure he pays respect to his roots but he's no longer a Cali boy

I mean.... I see him in Chico every off season still..... Duke has even bought me and my boys a round before

on the reals though, the guy is awesome and as real as it gets.

But naw I feel you, the Kings/Warriors gets plenty of A's/Giants/Niners/Raiders players that come thru to our games and support. I'm sure Rodgers has fully embraced his new community though and I don't blame him, but he stays true to his roots still

He was when his dad played there but got into basketball when he was in Italy and his grandparents would send tapes of the Showtime Lakers. It's funny to me how he grew up idolizing Magic Johnson but he became a scorer. Plus, I didn't know he was a Yankees fan.

Larry Allen is a Lakers fan.

My boy's go to school up there, but I'm up there in the spring and fall like once/twice a month

First time I saw him was when I was like 18-19 so I wasn't of age yet, and he was just outside chilling in line for pizza at like 2 in the morning

but this was when he was still backing up Favre but everyone knew who he was

So that kinda prepared us for the following times we've ran into him.. My favorite Wisconsin product is Carl Landry tho! That guy is awesome, chilled with him for a good hour or so at a casino here in Sac. That dude loves that state still, he was a free agent at the time and even said he wanted to play for the Bucks.

I don't know why it says "New York Yankees" under Kobe's name when he's repped BOTH Dodgers and Angels...

Magic Johnson repped the Raiders when they were in LA.. not sure about now
Kareem repped the Dodgers

Yep Carl and his brother Marcus who played for the Badgers are great guys. They played high school ball at Milwaukee Vincent right down the block from me. Both undersized 4's who do work down low.

I respect players that like their home town teams and there are some exceptions but when I heard LeBron talk about he was a huge Cowboys and Yankees fan :x :smh:

Jay-Z had the nerve to say he was a big Cowboys fan :x

I never heard Kobe mention anything about the Yankees. Obviously he's a Laker fan but he was a huge Sixer fan I thought. Then was mad that they passed on him and his beef with the town.

I know Justin Tuck is a huge Yankee fan. Said if he could play for any other team in any sport, he'd be a Yankee :smokin
