I also dress for my environment

Yeah I would say I do, at least compared to my fellow 30-something peers and friends.

I usually stick to the crew necks/hoodies, sweats/jeans and kicks combo. I'm not really a "loud" dresser so I think I can just about get away with it lol -I normally go for neutral colors (blacks, navy, greys etc.) with my clothing, and then add a splash of color via the kicks. I don't wear hats or the graphic tops with slogans ...or those god awful puns (Cop'n Jays) (I got 99 problems but my kicks ain't one) smh.

I think it's cool to wear what you want and be comfortable, as long as you can change it up when need be, it's essential to have some nice suits and dress shoes in your wardrobe to turn on the style once in a while.

wear what you want OP, i'm 22 and i've had girls tell me i need to start dressing more like a "man"

i've been dressing the same my whole life, few tshirts here and there with a few button ups and cardigans mixed in. be comfortable being you and don't get boxed in into what people think a man should look like bc the only real man in the history of men is the great al bundy

This topic makes me feel old.

Part of being an adult is not caring what others think, and dressing how YOU want. There is no uniform for dressing like an adult.

I think "dress" for ages has changed quite a bit... I mean you can see somebody who is mid 30s, 40s that may still dress with the elements of a younger person (jeans, kicks, etc.) But how they put it together may be different (usually in how the clothes fit, and how the outfit is color coordinated, given that younger people are obsessed with "matching")

Well in all reality you are still a kid @ 23 I was still in the whole SnapBack, graphic tees and SBs phase....however I feel like i did grew out of that, I still wear sneakers but I no longer wear graphic tees, rarely do I wear snapbacks, although once in a while I still do, my clothes have a different fit than they once did, brands like Gap/Jcrew/Zara replaced Diamond/C&C's/etc

More importantly I learned to chose the ocassions, remember there is a time and place, you look just as silly wearing a suit to go for a stroll around te park as you do wearing a graphic tee and a SnapBack to a nice dinner/event....when you can find a balance I believe that's when you've learned to dress your age, if you are passed 25 and the only thing you wear are the things you see kids in HS going crazy over, is time to grow up.

Dang, OP only 23, I was 26-27 rocking all kinds of gear that would be considered for "kids". Didn't really care tho. I did what I wanted to do.

My parents didn't let me work in HS, and in college I spent most of my money on food, liquor, partying, and road trips. So I really didn't have a ton of gear until after college and went buck wild with it. No regrets, I had kicks for dayzzzz.

it's funny, all these "rules" go out the window when you're financially successful.
so Imma dress like Ninjahood until I get there

If you needed to label it, I guess you could say that I do.

I work in the music industry, so I can keep it casual if I desire. And I suit up when I need to.

But on a day in day out basis, I wear AF1s, Air Max, Jordans etc. because they're comfortable and because I can. It's not like you can't make these things look good.

Rock them with jeans or khakis, a clean button down, shirt, or, right now, a cashmere hooded sweater.

It's not what you wear, it's how you wear it.

It's what I'm comfortable in. AIn't nobody telling me what I should and should not be wearing because of a number.

Theres a time and place for everything. Thats basically all that needs to be said, no one wants to be dressing better all the time, and no one wants to look like streetwear all the time either.

I stay dressing for comfort most days... In the winter its hoodies & sweats & in the spring / summer its bball shorts & a tee  :pimp:

I do try & mix it up though... I'll throw on some nicer clothes in the rotation just to have some variety. I always try to keep a balance between the two.
