i think huff has the bigger impact of the two this season, with mathews having the bigger long term impact.. especially with special teams, i think huff takes the kickoff duties about 60-70% of the time (so sproles doesnt have to kill himself on special teams)

and then he has the advantage of knowing the offense already.. plus we dont really have another wr quite like him

I seriously thought Huff was a reach because of the Oregon connection. He's not going to be better than "Supreme" Moncrief or Martavis Bryant.

me too.. especially with the WRs that were still on the board.. but then i thought about it (already knowing the system and desean and avant being gone).. dude isnt the biggest guy in terms of height, but he has solid weight to him and plays like it

literally you look at his measurements and they read more like a tailback.. so when i looked at his highlights, we dont really have a WR on the roster who plays like him.. maclin hasnt played tough enough to this point.. and cooper and mathews are different types

I thought he was a reach then I read up on him and watched highlights and I was sold on him in this offense but I def wasn't happy when the pick came in

^ nice, just need to get smith II in and signed.. the more i think about it, the more i dont think we resign maclin after this year.. cooper is signed for 5 years.. huff and mathews for 4.. celek and ertz for 3

also, just realized this when i was scrolling through twitter.. i want to see what becomes of vinnie curry this year

Maclin is a tough one; if he has a good year and he takes a bit of a discount then I can see them trying to move Cooper

Vinny Curry is so talented; they need to figure out how to make it work unless someone is willing to give up a 2nd then I would consider moving him

Love Curry he's super productive considering his limited snaps, its nice to a pass rushers when we go 4-3.

I think Cox & Kendricks have big years and play more consistently, I think Boykin is already there.

That 2012 draft class was so good, 4 starters, a good rotational pass rusher, a good back up lineman, and are 7th round pick netted us a future mid rounder. Even McNutt is signed to the panthers

That's good work :pimp:

Yea curry definitely got screwed in the switch.. And he's still been a force in limited snaps, but he definitely isn't an OLB and not a 3-4 end

Wish we could just give Miami curry, graham and a 2nd for Jordan.. That would probably be my best offer

Why does it take so long to sign rookies? I thought the numbers were essentially predetermined?

Anyway, I completely agree about Graham and Curry, if we stuck with a 4-3 I'm convinced we would have had a dominant line. Instead, we're probably going to trade them for below-market value because of their perceived deficiencies.

I'm also extra excited to see how everyone performs this year. Our schedule is BRUTAL, and if we can make it to the playoffs I think anything is possible from there :pimp:.

I may be wrong, but from what I understand bonuses and incentives can still be negotiated even though the pay/length is set.

  1. Jeff McLane@Jeff_McLane 8m

  2. #Eagles slot WR spot is there for Jordan Matthews to take. Rookie has tools/intangibles to thrive inside. My column: http://www.philly.com/philly/sports/eagles/261602591.html  …

I will never agree on how they handled Jackson. If anything try to trade him come draft to just cut him and slander him is just asinine. We offer up Jackson and our 1st rounder who knows wat kinda haul we could've got back smh

They tried to trade him... no team was even willing to give up a 7th rounder for the guy

Yeah after they slandered him. You don't let it "leak" that he's such a problem and some team would bite. Jus a dum move an now the fact that he's on the skins is just smh

It's counterproductive to slander someone you are trying to trade.. If anything you are praying teams are not aware of that information, so it doesn't hurt his trade value

But I'm pretty sure teams had an idea about some of stuff.. And I assume the journalist that ran the story contacted the team and let them know they were running the story, if just to try get them to give a comment on it

“@EliotShorrParks: Riley Cooper getting some post practice sprints in. Impressive how many players on this team stay late to get in extra work #Eagles”
