eagles tried to resign mac, offered him just below 10 mill.. which is fair for a guy with only 1 season over 1000 yards in his career

the flaw in SAS point, is if it came down to chip choosing between the 3 WRs (desean, maclin or coop).. he obviously would want maclin.. but he doesn't have that choice (because of cooper's contract and KC simply offering more money)

chiefs went to 11 mill per, which makes mac the 7th highest paid WR in the league.. as much as we may like mac, I think even his biggest fan doesn't think he should be the 7th highest paid guy

we went hard after mccourty, probably offered him more money than he got from the pats.. but he, like cobb, they took less to remain with their teams.. cant knock maclin or anyone else, for taking the money

I mean we did just take WRs in the 2nd and 3rd rounds in the last draft

and we cut overpaid older guys.. we tried to get trent to restructure, he felt disrespected.. herremans, the injuries were piling up and his play fell off the last couple years (plus we had a cheaper replacement on the roster.. remember his salary was based on when he had to move out to right tackle for us)

lesean was about money and getting a player who could be a stud.. and then you factor in how friendly our system is for RB and chip's ability to get production from the position (saw some stat about shady's rushing yards total last year were the least by the head RB since chip took over as head coach.. going back to college)

Someone should call out SAS for this bs. He's clearly reaching, cooper can't be released until next season or else his 5MIL cap hit would count as full dead money just like last year. Makes zero sense to cut him until next season which he's likely gone.

I like with what the eagles are doing, their defense is significantly better with Maxwell and Alonso.

The eagles should offer 3 years 50MIL for Revis. With having to face Dez and Odell 2 times a year I think it would be worth to have the best corner in the game.

Most of this may be valid, but it's also circumstantial. Mac came back from an ACL tear and put those numbers up just this past season, when there wasn't a go to threat like DeSean on the other side of the field. Pretty impressive for a guy who went through 2 starting QB's last season, because Foles was struggling and got hurt, and Sanchez was the best the team could offer..Mac felt like he had something to prove and he certainly did. Regardless of how up tempo this offense is, fundamentally speaking, you have to make plays in any offense, and I think Maclin did amazingly well..especially considering how many people thought he wasn't going to do much following the ACL tear prior to this past season..

Trent should've restructured IMO, but that's his deal, and he was a solid player for us. Herremans just fell off, and maybe a new fresh start in Indy will help revive his career..

As far as LeSean, dude was splitting reps with Sproles and Polk in a RBC. Sproles made some big plays, which was by design from Chip, to bring another guy in to help lighten the burden of LeSean carrying the ball. The stats may show McCoy as being least productive since Chip took over as hc going back to Oregon, but splitting more of the plays does limit productivity. Won't be surprised if he goes to Buffalo and lights it up..

^ shady had the 2nd most attempts of any RB (he had over 300).. and probably would have had more if he didn't sub himself out).. and has had the most the last 2 seasons combined

no one is saying maclin isn't a good player.. however, I don't think he should be getting 11 mill per, which was my point

have you seen their Oline..

we have: 2 all pros, a pro bowl center and a really good right tackle

herremans play has been declining the last couple of years because his body has been breaking down (he's only played 8 games 2 of the last 3 seasons)

of the remaining safeties, I like Ron Parker. Former experience at cb so I can see him fitting in the scheme. I wonder how much $ he wants though

Real quiet on our end. If we cleared and cut all those players to just have Maxwell, Kiko, and BG I'm going to be pissed.

Shady will do very good things in Buffalo if he remains focused and healthy. Herremans, I agree with.

Shady still had a productive year, but Sproles definitely had his fair share of playcalls, that a year prior might have involved Shady.

As far as Maclin, I do believe he earned 11 million. He battled an ACL tear, 2 inept QB's, and was really the only consistent threat to catch the ball. The season he had is indicative of the kind of player he actually is. Tough, talented, and usually dependable.

Woow why would Tra come out and say something like that right after Stephen A started saying that b******

shady's play is still going to be affected by the quality of his offensive line, as it was when we had injuries at the beginning of the season to ours.. it's the nature of the business, I don't care who your RB is, if your offensive line is crap there is only so much he can do (see when marshawn lynch was in buffalo)

it's kinda hard to speak on a contract that we haven't seen the exact terms for (mainly the length.. since the 11 per has been reported).. but before the 1 season that maclin played in chips offense, his numbers were:

56 receptions for 773 yards

70 receptions for 964 yards

63 receptions for 859 yards

69 receptions for 857 yards

riley cooper had 47 receptions for 835 the season before he became a free agent.. and Jordan Mathews had 67 receptions for 872 yards his rookie year

Tra is salty he got canned

Tra should go ahead and put his money where his mouth is and name those "players who felt racism" because he declined to put himself out there with that speak

still think we need help on offense alot i just dont see us being the same team putting up that avg 29.6 pts a game like last year which ranked us 3rd.

I know there still time to sign RB/WR but im just not confident about us on offense at the moment

you will blindly defend this team no matter what smh ... because a fan would know better than a player right ?

he doesn't play for the team anymore.. hasn't for quite some time..

and look at what he actually said when trying to give any merit to what he was saying:

"Yeah you have seven assistant black coaches but only one black coach is over the segment. The other guys are assistants to the assistant coaches. Duce Staley is the only guy that’s head over his segment who is gonna be in charge of his group. The other guys are just assistants to an assistant coach."

then you factor in this:

It's gonna be some ******** until the season starts ..we gonna hear endless stories until Chip can prove this O still can run without its stars ..

We might as well get used to it
