If the original plan was for Cary and Bradley to be "stopgaps" at corner, it failed miserably. Not only have they not performed, but we failed to really address the CB position. At this point I don't even consider Nolan a CB since he's a "dime" linebacker in package situations. Jaylen Watkins hasn't been on the field much (Bashaud Breeland drafted right after him has made some plays in DC). I'd like to see Maxwell on this squad

If we could somehow get Rex for this D, I honestly think he can Cary Williams at least serviceable consistently. I mean I feel like Rex can tell Cary to turn his head.

we're in contract talks with graham.. we've supposedly offered a 4 year deal..

davis himself has been a 'stopgap' guy his whole career for teams transitioning from the 4-3 to the 3-4.. but I just don't think he can get the job done against the top level guys, even just to slow them down just a bit to give our offense a chance

and really it wouldn't be the end of the world if we get rid of both cary and fletcher, since it's what we did prior to both of those guys coming in

I am cool keeping Brandon Graham if the money is right; he has become a very solid player for this team

yea... all depends on the money for me.. probably means trent's time with the team is done

Eagles defense has allowed 2 or more passing TDs in 12 of its 14 games this season. #RG3

all 22 of dez final TD:

cary, fletcher and nate all need to go.. with billy

I think y'all are overreacting to Bill's statements
His dudes are already getting roasted by other players, why would he roast them himself? There's nothing we can do about our CB situation right now so we have to live with it. If we don't address it in the offseason then Davis HAS to be out for sure.
I would love to go after Rex but, knowing Chip, dude loves continuity. From what I gathered from articles that I've read is that he's all in on Billy. He didn't choose Rob Ryan over Billy because he wants workers who behave like professionals, which is probably the same reason he's not going to hire Rex.

Yea I don't really see Chip and Rex getting along but Did you guys see that blown coverage against Dallas when Dez got open on 3rd&15 I believe .. We deserve something better than that .

Billy D knows the truth. Criticizing the play of the corners would do nothing to help the cause, if anyone should shoulder the blame shouldn't it be the positions coach? In this case John Lovett? If we're talking technique and mechanics then I'd say we need a new guy for the defensive backs, Billy D is scheming for the defense as a whole. We've seen what former coordinators (Mcdermott and Bowles) have done when they have some nice tools to work with.

I'm down for Dawkins as the defensive backs coach. Been feeling that way since he first retired

I dont expect him to publicly criticize. I expect him to make adjustments

I still think Davis is doing the best he can with what he is given

Let's be honest if we want to be honest; Boykin is not having a good year either but because Fletcher and Williams are so bad it's not talked about

Love having mathews on the team:

“@EliotShorrParks: Perfect Jordan Matthews response to DeSean ripping WRs: "At least he gave Maclin credit, because that dude is ballin"”

Well maybe now we can get ifo in one of the mid rounds and red shirt him on IR for his rookie year
