Any of them but Orakpo. Guy is horrible

We really missed Foles. Draft defense heavy next year and give Foles one last time to show his worth and make him earn a contract.

No way I'm doing two firsts and mccoy included in a deal...if mariota is all hype that will do the franchise in for like 5 years..they would have to sign Peterson if that's the case....they need to shore up the secondary obviously and draft a qb they can groom and let foles just play out the year...I'm by no means a foles fan but might as well give him a chance one last year

AGREED. No way should we unload for Mariota. Risk to great

I love Shady but RB is the most replaceable position in the league. If someone overvalues him and we can move up to nab someone good in the draft I'm all in. Get Gurley in round 3 and I bet there's not gonna be that big of a drop off, especially since Shady is nearing the end of his prime (a lot of RBs fall off around 27-28).

Is there any way in hell we get Drew Brees? Apparently NO is looking for a young replacement and I would lolovto have Brees as a stop gap while Hundley or Petty or whoever learns behind him.

I can't believe you guys wouldn't go all in for MM8

if he is as good as advertised those picks are gonna be late 1st round anyway

^ I'm with you.. ESPECIALLY considering the uncertainty we have had at the position since what '07 or '08..

we've seen the ineptitude of both foles and sanchez this year..

let's say we can convince lovie to take foles, McCoy and 2 firsts

we can sign a CB and OLB in free agency, draft a RB in the 2nd (hopefully duke Johnson).. then go defense the rest of the way.. hell, maybe get IR first year stash guys like ifo and/or gurley

and Chip getting his guy means he sticks around; I really think if he doesn't he will bounce after next season

Prolly because in this system especially, a QB isnt the end all be all. match that with more glaring needs and you see anything other then defense in the first round is unacceptable.

Yeah, but imagine how much more lethal this system would be with a competent QB. Imagine Aaron or Peyton with our WRs running wide open like they have been. They're not missing those like our QBs have.

it really is though; look at Foles and Sanchez numbers

an elite QB is an elite QB; they make up for a lot in lacking areas

if this team had a top tier QB they would be in the playoffs right now regardless of that secondary

if we would pound the ball with polk on 3rd & ones

if our secondary could play worth any type of dam

if we didnt stick fletcher out there week in and week out without trying carroll

if we drafted a 1st round pick that would contribute

choose any 1 or 2

&

we would be in the playoffs DESPITE our qb play

Or if we had avg corners we would be in the playoffs. Thats exactly my point
well drafting CBs isn't a guarantee of anything.. probably the toughest position to predict transition wise from college to the pros right now.. you have a bit of a learning curve

then you have changing rules which favor offenses/WRs

we obviously need to draft CBs.. but throwing those guys out there into the fire year 1, wont be good for anyone.. especially long term

yeah but when it's all said and done; the most important position in sports is the QB

35 turnovers in 15 games is unreal

it is but having 35 tos in 15 games and still being on the fringe of the playoffs tells me more then ever we do not need to go all in for mariota

QB play is not solely losing us games. Now if it was I would have a different stance

with that said I still want to draft a qb just not 1st round and def not trading up for Mariota

ya 35 TO in 15 games is ******* horrible i never knew that stat until i was reading this thread this morning what a joke.

no wonder our defense was always on the field. It was either 3 & Out or turnovers as of recently with few TDs in between

this better be a big wake up call for Chip

Marcus Smith is still haunting this team; he can't play, he has shown nothing to prove he can play but at the same time he should have been a 3rd round pick at best
Hit the nail on the head drafting him set us back quite a bit. Just a complete waste of a pick ..hell trade up for Ha Ha.

The disappointment when they said his name

I'm trying to tell you act like you've watched the NFL for more than a season and give the dude a chance.....

year one tells people nothing....

yes, some rookies come in and hit the ground running -- while others need time to develop

like, how are you projecting a guy's career in 16 games? makes no sense

Marcus Smith was a terrible pick; you don't take projects in the 1st round, he was a 3rd rounder at best

he couldn't even see the field and looked lost in practice

every player in the draft is a project -- you never know what you're going to get

if it were an exact science every first round pick would be a star and ballers wouldn't drop down the board

there are 3-4 guys every year that MAY be no-brainers .. the rest are projects and "we hope"

what did Reggie Bush's rookie season tell you?

there are countless high draft picks that didn't do much of anything in year one.... in year two....

could Smith turn out to be a bust like a great deal of high draft picks are, of course he could..... point is, for y'all to sit here and call it now is ridiculous

all you're doing is throwing **** at the wall and guessing

I bet Cowboy fans thought Aikman was a horrible pick after 2 seasons too.... Dolphins fans be ready to run Tannehill out of town every other week
