ryans, I think was to keep a locker room leader around.. Chip tried restructuring Trent to keep him around, but he didn't want to take the deal

Same reason we rewarded barwin after he did so well




Kendricks I think comes down to money

But we needed depth anyways.. We had backups playing a ton last year.. And kiko is coming off of his injury and Kendricks has his bruises.. As much value as Ryans has in the locker, on the field he doesn't have the speed anymore to play significant downs

This is likely true, but if the Kendricks-Alonso duo prove to be as dynamic as I think it will be, we will definitely do our best to keep Kendricks. Really could be something special man especially with how talented our DL is.

On another note, was just thinking how awesome it would've been if we could've pried McCourty away from the Patriots. Would've really solidified us in the secondary as well. As of now our secondary still really worries me but we should definitely be improved from last year.

^ yea mccourty hurt a bit, that was our big target in free agency and would have been get here.. Even though we don't sign Demarco, I'm cool with that

We get Maxwell and mccourty.. And still have the draft we have, I'm extremely happy

Probably happier.. We still have Mathews, sproles and Polk




Fletch is the bigger priority to me and hopefully for the team, out of him and kendricks

I think we drafted Hicks to be DeMeco's understudy. Hicks' game reminds me a lot of Ryans.

i think the coaching in the secondary will have a huge impact. undlin is preaching technique and fundamentals

bradley fletcher is basura regardless but no one man should allow all that yardage

Doubt it.. Only potential headaches chip has taken on so far have gone to Oregon


What former Seahawks do we have on the team, I guess it would come down to what they said (obviously there is Maxwell and the special teams safety whose name I can't remember).. No clue on chip's relationship with Beamer

I'd easily give up a third for Kam. A secondary of Maxwell, Jenkins, Chancellor, Carroll with Thurmond in the slot and Rowe playing outside in the dime (Carroll slides inside) would basically give us the #1 overall defense

I mean it's possible, we get a pick back for boykin (hopefully a 4th).. but then again, hopefully we give up that 2nd for Bradford (not sure the stipulations off the top of my head, but I assume it's on a games played basis)

but we have a couple guys who should be familiar with him.. and I think we have some cap space still (looked that up last night too, not sure how right those are.. but said we have just over 14 mill)

but has he said what he wants?

but we kinda know certain guys are locks then it's wild cards after that: Maxwell, rowe, carroll and evans.. then there is jaylen and Thurmond III, who factor into the safety side of things

Jenkins is the only real lock at safety.. then special teams guys (Maragos and prosinski)
