Atleast when/if we hire a new coach our Defense will be loaded

Gotta find a way to get Kiko Kendricks and Hicks on the field at once when they get healthy tho

Jenkins and Cox are playing at All-Pro levels IMO...and I haven't mentioned Barwin Thorton and Logan ..and Brandon Bair seems to be a player

If that defense had time to rest ..there is tremendous talent on that side of the ball

Side note: Brandon Graham has been non existent this year

Light shining down on Chip.

yall going in today lol

I think Chip's stubbornness is the main thing that has plagued us this season and the end of last year. It's clear as day teams have caught up to his style yet he swears upon "EXECUTION". I think we can all agree, the Demarco Murray signing was a horrible fit for this scheme. That idea that Chip would use him downhill was a myth, he STILL calls nothing but shotgun runs for Demarco. The one game we had success running was with Mathews and he at least let Bradford go under center for some handoffs while Demarco isn't getting that opportunity at all. Chip just has to admit his scheme has major issues and isn't built to succeed in the NFL and switch some stuff up. It's like last game he made an effort to do something new passing wise with the deep throws but reverted back to the old ways once we got the lead.

If we have ANY hope of a turnaround that time of possession stuff has to change dramatically. NO team can win if the defense is on the field for that long. And speaking of defense, Billy Davis isn't out of the woods himself either. That soft coverage stuff and playing super conservative isn't the way to go. Any quarterback with a semblance of a brain can pick apart our defense. We need to blitz a hell of a lot more and do more exotic stuff. The only thing I have no complaints about is the turnovers we force, they've improved leaps and bounds in that regard

^ you can run downhill and between the tackles from the shotgun.. just see every 3rd and 1 and 4th and 1 we have had

and billy davis has benefited from talent at that side of the ball.. I have bigger issues with decisions he has made

- Nolan carroll played limited snaps while cary and Bradley were screwing up all over the place

- demeco's snaps

- weird packages with Dline guys.. not giving backup guys enough snaps (curry and graham last year.. not using cox, curry and graham together on passing downs)

people also forget overall how mediocre that drafts have been

I count only a handful of players doing anything from 2013 and 2014

Ertz - who hasn't lived up to his 2nd round pick yet
Matthews - great pick
Lane Johnson - better than Fisher and Joeckel
Beau Allen - great pick in the 7th
Logan - solid, solid pick

the rest are all irrelevant

Desean would've gotten double , Matthews would've been in the slot & maclin on the outside come on , I'm in no way shape or form a GM in the NFL but it was obvious that we needed to draft heavy on Oline and defense . and we would've been a great team smh now we're stuck on "what IF"

you would be investing $20 million+ per season for Desean and Maclin, you can't have both
You could have. yoi could've spent higher draft picks on corners and safeties instead of gambling on them in free agency. Byron maxwell is making almost what Maclin would be

Like you wasted picks on ertz ,thatd Defense guy who can't even get on the field( name escapes me), agholor( you wouldn't even need him if you kept Maclin).

just remember jimmy Johnson took over a 3-13 cowboys team, then went:

1-15

7-9

11-5 (got blown on in the divisional playoff round)

belichick with the browns (3-13 the year before):

6-10

7-9

7-9

11-5

5-11

and first year with the pats (8-8 the year before): 5-11

The biggest problem that people have with Chip, is how he completely overhauled the squad, so early in his coaching stint.  Belichick with Cleveland, and JJ in Dallas is slightly before my time, but did they make the type of roster changes that Chip has made this early in their careers?

Not saying I disagree with the notion that Chip deserves more time, just legitimately wondering.

^ look at pete carroll with the seahawks.. the team was 5-11 before he took over and then went:

7-9

7-9

11-5

then 13-3 and winning the super bowl

Well that and the stubbornness/ ego

He was given a solid offense. All he had to do was sure up the oline ( for the future) and work on the defense. Both of which could've been done through the draft and limited free agency. I don't even like Nick foles but if you give him a good line and a solid defense, you can at least make the playoffs

the most obvious change for those cowboys teams is the infamous Hershel walker trade where they abused the Vikings..

it took drew Bledsoe getting hurt (and lucking into brady in the 6th round)

Well he hasn't lived up to the hype, ballin?

Dude has 10 rec for 104 yards with 0 tds through four games. Last year was suppose to be his breakthrough year and same was said about this season.

Not saying it's a wasted pick, but it's his third year in the league and in chips system and he has not lived up to our second round hype.

man some dudes were blinded by that 10-6 season last year. Opening game vs. Jax our secondary already looked terrible, Sproles had to save us that day. Week 2 we're lucky that BB doesn't get called for a penalty on T.Y. for the Jenk INT. We clearly couldn't finish the game at San Fran. We got shut down by SEA at home even when we were murked out with the all blacks with Sanchez(whom of which some of you guys are clamoring for atm). Foles couldn't hit anyone open down the seam whenever we ran 4 verts(he made some, but missed most). Chip really hasn't had anyone at QB for me to make a final call on him

BUT I still and will always hate the fact that he got rid of Djack for nothing. I honestly felt like if Chip just let it ride, D Jack could've adapted to Chip but there was no way around what Chip envisions in his players.
