I really think Bryce could cook in a featured role but with the addition of Sproles he definitely may be the odd man out. Our offense is about to do some serious damage next year though. Would iike for us to add one more defensive player in FA and then focus the whole draft on defense and OL.

I wasn't happy with the Sproles move because I knew Bryce Brown would either get cut or get his playing time severely reduced.

I really liked what Brown did for us last season and even though he wouldn't have been a featured back with Shady on the roster, I thought he made great contributions enough to keep him around without another back taking up his spot. However I do realize that Sproles can go so it'll still work out in the end.
Sproles is more of a slot guy than a running back, we probably add 1 more WR and 1 TE the once Casey is cut.

we usually carry 5-6 WRs.. and 3 RBs..

but we dont carry a FB anymore.. but we do carry 3 TEs now

so we could keep all 4.. but it wouldnt surprise me if we didnt

bit of a reach IMO; I think he slips to the 2nd round

I really want Pryor but that will probably mean we have to trade up

New acquisition Bryan Braman on mindset needed to play special teams. "Kill, maim and destroy."

Nate Allen's one-year contract with the #Eagles is worth $2 million and with incentives $3 million, per NFL source.

Nate Allen-#Eagles have agreed on 1-year deal. Team now has 5 safeties - Malcolm Jenkins, Earl Wolff, Chris Maragos, Keelan Johnson, Allen.

unless we draft a safety in the 1st 3 rounds, our safeties will probably be:

starters: jenkins (FS) and nate (SS)

wolff and maragos

I guess if that means no chung & coleman I can live with it

I'm sure they're listening.. Hell I hope they are..

But unless we get a Hardin type deal I'm reluctant to move him right now.. At least a 1st

If a trade happens. This could backfire big time on us.

I dont like it

honestly I feel like D Jax hasn't done much to warrant the type of "rep" he gets. I'd have to trust chip though, if he feels like they are still a potent O without him, then I guess that's the direction you go. Unless they are just asking for a 3rd and trying to package some picks to move up and draft a stud WR? I just feel like D Jax gives that AI vibe, small guy but plays his heart out, swagger, etc. Welps...

same here but it sounds like its inevitable mean.gif, if all they get is a 3rd round pick that will be even more of a disappointment

Vick's farewell letter to Philadelphia:

I would like to thank the Eagles and the entire city of Philadelphia. I was honored to be their quarterback and took the privilege to heart every day. I especially want to thank Jeffrey Lurie and Andy Reid, who gave me the opportunity. I want to thank my teammates, who were not just coworkers, but friends. I also want to thank the millions of fans who cheered and supported our team.

People say Philadelphia fans are tough. I say they are fair. A player is not judged solely by his past or promises of the future, but by his actions today, and the next day, and the next.

In my time volunteering, I have met Philadelphia's heroes. I've met at-risk children with few resources, but with teachers tirelessly helping them make the most of a second chance. I've seen the work of volunteers at school fund-raisers, food drives, after-school programs, hurricane shelters, Toys for Tots campaigns, Boys and Girls Clubs, and the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, and the meaningful work of the Humane Society of the United States. I've seen children choosing the mentorship of a football coach over peer pressure on a street corner. One of the best examples of a community deserving a second chance is the North Philadelphia Aztecs youth football team. As the players step onto Team Vick Field, they can hold their heads high and be proud that they are making Philly stronger.

The Eagles are an outstanding organization with a bright future, and I'm thankful for all the friendship, love, and support they gave me and my family. I look forward to seeing great things from them both on the field and in the community.

Man, kevin kolb was our qb for the foreseeable future, vick stepped in and gave us hope, and brought excitement. We were on a road to the bottom with Kolb mean.gif

I'll gladly take that laugh.gif
Even the illusion of hope was, and is, appreciated. I really thought we could have made a run at the beginning of the "dream team" season, mostly because of Vick. pimp.gif

We made the playoffs that year when we wouldnt have, we'd still be lost if it wasnt for him. But hey, no need to argue with a fellow eagles fan laugh.gif

I loved the time that Vick spent here, the first half of that 2010 season was some of the funnest football I've ever watched. I'll never forget that MNF game in Washington laugh.gifpimp.gif I hope he does well in NY

I really don't want the let DJax go but if he's going to be a distraction and unhappy with his deal then I don't see a problem letting him go, especially after getting a new deal 2 years ago mean.gif
