what/whose system?

Oregon's. He's got bust written all over him IMO all he does is throw quick little screens, he was really unimpressive against FSU. He would fit great here with Chip but any other team I wouldn't be so sure.
Oregon's system was created by chip

man.. when I look at him I focus on the aspects of his game that remind me somewhat of steve young and aaron Rodgers.. smart, accurate and judicious with his running

will there be a learning curve, yes.. but that goes for all rookies..

but I don't want a guy who is a purely a "running QB".. I want a guy who has that ability and can take advantage of spots and put that added pressure on a defense.. but can also thrive in the system (be accurate.. make quick reads to find the open guy.. understand the vulnerability of the defense on a given play)

quick little screens? have you watched him play

real question

Those are great.

Never thought Chip would be the type to sign up for commercials though, but yea that Ertz one had me

he probably did all those in one take too haha

MM8 slipping come draft time?:nerd:

Def a possibility after Johnny Manziel and Teddy Bridgewater fell so much in last year draft. At this point last year there was alot talk about Teddy being the #1 pick.

im just not sold on mariota and for sure dont want to break bank to move up to get him like everyone else wants...too much of a system qb he will be ok but i just dont see that star in him...rather get hundley for less of a gamble later in the rounds

lowest hundley is going is the 2nd.. and after the combine and all that, could very easily go in the 1st

i think if they really want to go qb hundley is attainable where they are drafting...id only be worried about houston ahead of them as they might qb

hope MM8 slips like crazy. need a bunch of other prospects not named Mariota to show out at the combine and rise up draft boards. #slipforchip

praying..

we need a lot of scouts to buy into this system QB thing.. then we need jameis to hire a great PR team and agent.. leonard Williams, randy geogory and amari cooper to show out.. and maybe some team desperately needs a tackle, Brandon scherff

no **** lebeau?

Riding with you #slipforchip

or mariota can just tell all 19 teams in front of us he's not playing anywhere except philly...i just really want to see how this system can run with a chip product qb...let alone arguably his best qb

how do you guys feel about the receivers? i think jmatt is gonna be special and huff showed a lot of potential...

Huff showed a of potential?????? I was all-in the Huff bandwagon preseason... then I saw him play.
I believe JMatt's work ethic is going to get him far in this league. He just needs to work on those drops.
We need to resign Maclin. I really believe he embodies everything Chip wants in a player; he's hard working, tough, class act, and most importantly productive.
I definitely feel like we need one more receiver though, whether that comes in the form of an actually WR or TE. I really love Jaelen Strong out of ASU. He's a Philly guy, he's big, physical, plays the ball in the air, etc. But he's a first round pick and we have more pressing issues. This receiving class is actually pretty solid. I could see us scooping up Diggs out of Maryland or Montgomery from Stanford in the mid-late rounds.

i def think huff showed potential...he made a lot of bone headed inexperienced plays but for the most part i think he'll be fine in the slot...agree with you on jmatt and jmac...im also a fan of strong but i don't think he'll drop past rd 2 at the latest and we have too many other needs to address then taking a wr that high ...diggs can turn into a sleeper in this draft...im not too big on montgomery...
I think cooper is garbage & needs to go
yea cooper is terrible...he took a major step back this yr but i was never sold on him regardless

I think we are really solid with maclin (when he can stay healthy), mathews, huff and ertz..

Celek is on his last legs.. But don't forget we have trey burton waiting in the wings

Just keep in mind the jump guys make in their 2nd and 3rd years in the league when thinking about certain guys

Cooper will be with us for at least 1 more year because of the guaranteed money, unless by some miracle we get someone to trade for him (if even just a garbage trade with a guy we'll cut).. So throw him back on special teams in the 4th/5th WRs role

Wouldn't mind Randall Cobb and Byron Maxwell as free agent targets

Eagles can probably pull off both, my fear with Maxwell is he gets exposed when there is no Sherm and ET on the Eagles
