Yea I knew something was off wen he thought Fletcher was still on the team [emoji]128514[/emoji]

The fact that he prob won't be in the league next season and he started damn near every game for is terrible smh

Son just go to bed

You got no clue on any of this you've been wrong on everything you said

Put the bong down when your watching the Eagles next time.

Having an opposing opinion doesn't mean I'm wrong. That front 7 is athletic, and did improve as the season went on, but ya'll act like it's the best front in the league, and it's not.

and so what if I thought Fletcher was still on the team, I guess it shows how much I care about this dudes whereabouts..lol

Trent and Demeco were easily the 2 worst and most dispensable players in our front 7 last year

Nah son I can just tell by your post that you're a casual fan. You prolly still think Murray is with the cowboys with the way your talking.

No ones saying the front 7 is the best in the league but we all agree its prolly in the top five. Everyone here seems to be in an agreement on most things except for you

Idk if you're trolling but some of the stuff your saying is foolish.

Bro, I have no need to impress you. You sound extra clownish about it based on having an opposing opinion. As I said, this front is athletic, we have solid players but I think Cole needs to be replaced....MY opinion obviously, not yours..lol ..and for the record, I don't mind disagreeing with the majority.

Not the majority.. Everyone else

You're the only one out there on that limb

We resigned Graham. BG did well in limited snaps last season. I expect him to continue to produce in a full time role. We got 2 ILB who have the potential to be able to fly around the field as well as rush the QB. Barwin can pretty much do everything, set the edge, rush, cover, bat down passes at the LOS. Our LB group is now a definite strength, D-line is more than adequate, and I'm hoping we finally have a guy (Maxwell) who can stick with the likes of Dez, DJack, and OBJ. Disagreeing is fine, but I don't think you've brought up valid points to back your claim

I dont think we need another cb, IDK much about WTIII, but I hear he's solid. Im fine with maxwell, wt3 and boykins. I hope we go after Landon Collins (Bama) in the draft in the 1st, and hopefully we can get percy or a wr in FA or the draft. Wouldnt mind green beckham either.

Just clarifying.. The way you're making it sound, is as if someone agrees with you

It's just you out there

this conversation is pointless for the both of us right now, but everyone else does equal the majority I hope you know, but I digress...

More than half is a majority.. I thought you may better appreciate the points being made if you fully comprehended where exactly you stood

Obviously it is more than half, which is the majority, and yes I do appreciate peoples pov in here. You have a lot of resourceful info to pass along in this thread, and doesn't matter if I agree with you or not when you state your opinion, since it's all related to team news we all evidently care somewhat about..

Instead of digging in your heels.. You may want to ask yourself "why am I literally the only person who has this opinion"

Then go and do some research before you start talking about things you clearly do not even have a causal knowledge about

Before you criticize thronton you may want to try understanding what exactly his role is in the 3-4 front (especially with a talent like cox on the line).. And just because trent and barwin both play(ed) 'olb', doesn't mean they had the same responsibilities.. The joker, as I mentioned above, is your primary pass rusher.. they are the Demarcus ware's of the world (the ones who should be getting the high sack totals, especially when used in a 'predator' form as billy Davis likes to use).. Barwin (our jack), is like a 4-3 sam linebacker in he has more coverage responsibilities and has to be a jack of all trades linebacker

When did I "criticize" Thornton? Please show me where..lol I said he was a run stopper, which he clearly is. The condescending talk is laughable, I respect your opinion and I did say that our front 7 improved as the season went along.

Thornton is a run stopper, Cox has improved but isn't exactly N'Damukong Suh out there either, and the rest of the guys you mentioned are decent at best..let's not act like they terrorized the league last season.

Thornton is a run stopper...right! You said I criticized him though. Da hell are you talking about?

Thornton's job in our defense is to occupy two offensive lineman and remain active along the line in the running game.. Which he does well

His play along with Bennie Logan's (and beau's) allows cox and all of our lbs to do what they do (also gotta add vinny curry).. Especially the olb

And just for the record, the last time trent had double digit sacks was 2011

Thornton is not a bonafide pass rusher. He's a big body that gets penetration to mainly stop the run, and once again you conveniently disregard my question. How did I criticize Cedric Thornton? We both stated the obvious about what he is....lol

That's not his job.. The only person along our line that is actively trying to shoot gaps is fletcher cox.. And that depends on the play

When jimmy johnson was our DC, we ran a 4-3 1 gap attacking scheme.. Within that system both DTs were actively trying to shoot gaps and played the run on the way to the QB

Bennie logan and thronton.. And to a much lesser extent cox.. Are mainly trying to occupy the oline to open gaps for the linebackers and prevent the oline from getting to the second level

On run plays they disengage and occupy a gap.. With the linebackers behind them having the obligation of filling the other gaps.. The OLBs have the responsibilities of containing the edges

this information is readily available.. Please, go look it up.. But thronton is more than just a 'run stuffer'

The OLBs are the primary pass rusher In a 3-4 defense.. Especially the joker (or predator) position, which trent cole played.. And had 6.5 sacks
