So getting rid of our offensive playmakers were supposed to help him better adapt?

Chip dropped the ball. Set us way back
Another thing Foles, Hundley, Tyrod, Sanchez and now Bradford doesn't look to be answer.

Our qb is playing in Tennessee

two of those playmakers aren't even seeing the field

I wanted to keep Maclin but I wasn't prepared to spend the money KC did, that is on the Eagles for not getting a deal done during the season last year

I think two major things need to happen for this team to turn it around:  Most important being the O-line.  It needs to be better from all aspects.  I still believe that Bradford can be good if he had time.  Those strikes he threw on Sunday were beautiful.  Line is getting no push at all for our backs.

Second:  Chip needs to ditch the read option.  Teams knew Foles wouldn't keep it, and they know damn well that Bradford won't.  That completely eliminates that aspect of the offense that the defense would have to worry about, making it even harder on our o-line than it already is.  Not being able to effectively run the ball is hindering the offense massively.

I just don't know if these issues can/will be turned around this season, but I'm not ready to hop on the "Fire Chip" wagon, just yet.

We have the talent.  Forget all that Shady/Djax talk.  Desean Jackson has 0 catches, for 0 yards, and 0 Touchdowns this year.  He ain't helping anybody.

My thing is he should've tore it down the moment he stepped into the position ..I don't kno if you blame roseman or Lurie for that

You don't wait until Year 3 to tear a team down.

I understand but why tear it down tho ? Besides Desean having an attitude problem , why tear the team down ? All those players fit in his offense tho

Hasn't dJax and shady been injured all season tho? Can't bring that up as a case of them not producing. For what they're tryna do with the running game there was no point in getting rid of shady is all I'm saying

you would be investing $20 million+ per season for Desean and Maclin, you can't have both

Y'all can have y'all faith that we turn it around I jus don't see it.

A team with no QB running game Oline or Kickers is useless

3-13

you didn't want to go all in for MM8 either right?

let's just keep the 2013 Eagles around forever

balance that team out and that is .500 team, not as bad as 4-12 and not as good as 10-6

Salary cap reasons, coming off the 2013 I thought 2014 would be the year where we still had players on reasonable contracts and add some secondary help. We could of had Jackson, Shady, Ertz, Maclin, Sproles and still drafted Matthews

We cut Jackson
Didn't help the secondary
Foles was coming off a great year, fell off hard in 2014
O-line was not healthy last year either, was still good enough by the end
Shady wasn't himself last year
Maclin was great

Eventually we would have to pay all those guys and still upgrade the secondary.

Atleast when/if we hire a new coach our Defense will be loaded

Gotta find a way to get Kiko Kendricks and Hicks on the field at once when they get healthy tho

Jenkins and Cox are playing at All-Pro levels IMO...and I haven't mentioned Barwin Thorton and Logan ..and Brandon Bair seems to be a player

If that defense had time to rest ..there is tremendous talent on that side of the ball

Side note: Brandon Graham has been non existent this year
post #8927 of 11692
Thornton probably gone

But yeah we got some good talent on defense

yall going in today lol

I think Chip's stubbornness is the main thing that has plagued us this season and the end of last year. It's clear as day teams have caught up to his style yet he swears upon "EXECUTION". I think we can all agree, the Demarco Murray signing was a horrible fit for this scheme. That idea that Chip would use him downhill was a myth, he STILL calls nothing but shotgun runs for Demarco. The one game we had success running was with Mathews and he at least let Bradford go under center for some handoffs while Demarco isn't getting that opportunity at all. Chip just has to admit his scheme has major issues and isn't built to succeed in the NFL and switch some stuff up. It's like last game he made an effort to do something new passing wise with the deep throws but reverted back to the old ways once we got the lead.

If we have ANY hope of a turnaround that time of possession stuff has to change dramatically. NO team can win if the defense is on the field for that long. And speaking of defense, Billy Davis isn't out of the woods himself either. That soft coverage stuff and playing super conservative isn't the way to go. Any quarterback with a semblance of a brain can pick apart our defense. We need to blitz a hell of a lot more and do more exotic stuff. The only thing I have no complaints about is the turnovers we force, they've improved leaps and bounds in that regard

^ you can run downhill and between the tackles from the shotgun.. just see every 3rd and 1 and 4th and 1 we have had

and billy davis has benefited from talent at that side of the ball.. I have bigger issues with decisions he has made

- Nolan carroll played limited snaps while cary and Bradley were screwing up all over the place

- demeco's snaps

- weird packages with Dline guys.. not giving backup guys enough snaps (curry and graham last year.. not using cox, curry and graham together on passing downs)

people also forget overall how mediocre that drafts have been

I count only a handful of players doing anything from 2013 and 2014

Ertz - who hasn't lived up to his 2nd round pick yet
Matthews - great pick
Lane Johnson - better than Fisher and Joeckel
Beau Allen - great pick in the 7th
Logan - solid, solid pick

the rest are all irrelevant

cant get worse than our 2011 draft, we have literally no one on our roster:

http://www.philly.com/philly/blogs/sports/eagles/Three-years-later-The-Eagles-disastrous-2011-draft.html

for as bad as losing a pick for Bradford is.. at least we get the lions' 3rd.. something for boykin.. and hopefully something for matt barkley

You could have. yoi could've spent higher draft picks on corners and safeties instead of gambling on them in free agency. Byron maxwell is making almost what Maclin would be

Like you wasted picks on ertz ,thatd Defense guy who can't even get on the field( name escapes me), agholor( you wouldn't even need him if you kept Maclin).
