it's wild out here, it's like a ghost town
I am 20 minutes outside the city in Conshohocken and it's like the plague has hit and everyone is trying to get into Philly, they closed the damn expressway for the until Monday
my town is like the new "it" spot for people who work in the city and don't want to live there, we have trains at both ends of town and you can't even use them this weekend

all my friends that live in the city fled yesterday to the shore.

mine too, some went to Penn State for the weekend, others to their shore or on a little mini getaway somewhere such as Boston

I'm far enough north in the burbs to not be affected.
I was thinking of making the move to "Conshy", how do you like it? I work in Ft. Washington and I might get a place just outside the city but close enough to get in by train.

Man I love Conshy, I used to work in Fort Washington until 2012. I've been in Conshy since 2009, it's a great town and it's really growing. You can walk to bars, plenty of spots for whatever you are looking for, it's slowly become what Hoboken is to NYC.
How old are you? If you are under 25 you might not like it as much as say Manayunk but I hate Manayunk

Edit: Manayunk does suck, I'm not a fan either. I live in west chester so the nightlife isn't much better.
but I'm married and live outside the town so I'm rarely out at bars past 10PM anymore. when I was in my 20s it was great though

Just turned the big 25 this year. I was looking at some places in mt.airy/ germantown too. being able to walk to places and public transpo would be huge for me, my partying days are over

I'm in Bucks County, originally form Cali so the change was drastic
Drivers are worse out here too IMHO

Haha. Definitely a lot different than cali, but philly burbs are some of the nicest places to live in the country imo.
