Please LOCk

I understand that it could help each other out but the chances of it happening are slim. Cross town teams overall rarely make deals with each other

We should get 1/3/5 or 6. Don't know if the Chiefs draft a QB I doubt the Jags do since they will most likely get Tebow.

A 1/5/7 is not going to do it.

I dont think its even close to enough either.....which is what sparked this conversation on the previous page. I said a 1/5/7 for the #3 pick was an absurd idea, and I stand by it.

The #3 pick for a 1/2/3 is ideal, I feel.

Agreed. My original post in here included Alex Smith with that 1/2/3, but I didnt know that Palmer was guaranteed. Even still, I would have no problem trading said 1/2/3 to you guys for your #3.

I know its not going to happen though unfortunately.

I wonder what kind of schemes Norv could run for McFadden here. He doesn't have the same kind of speed LT did, but he's just as powerful (if not more) through tackles and has the hands for plays that call for screen passes.

Steve Corkran doesn't think it's likely for Norv to return :smh:

I'm all for partnership for the improvement of the team with any team outside of the division. If the Niners came to us and offered that for our pick, I would say yes. I think even Reggie would, too. But Mark is Al Davis' son, and I think most of us here are aware of Mark's sentimentality for the team. His pride may not be as hardened as Al's, but I could envision Mark throwing some wrinkles into Reggie's plan if he felt it impugned the reputation/pride of the organization.

Of course, talk of trading picks begins now, but I think Reggie is a smart guy. He'll hold onto the pick as late as possible, let the combine play out and see what his options are. If someone distinguishes themselves as a can't-miss, I doubt Reggie gives up our pick unless a team blows him away with a huge offer. Which I'm sure is exactly what he's hoping for.

If not Norv then I don't see why we can't give the OC title back to Al Saunders. He is still with the team

The team needs depth but how many players start on that defense that wouldn't start on 95% of other NFL teams? Even the ones that would start(outside of Houston/Wheeler/Burris/Branch) would of been benched for their piss poor play. Seymour and Kelly really don't give a **** anymore, their backup had more sacks than both of them combined.
This team has botched their top picks for years. Jarvis is not the answer. We need somebody who can stop the run, not another small outside linebacker. I don't I like the idea of drafting Lotulelei since he's from the pac12. I don't like the idea of taking Manti third overall either.

That's your opinion I guess, yeah we need someone who can stop the run but we also need someone who can get to the Quarterback, especially since we don't have cornerbacks that can cover for ****. I agree we've been ******g up our first round picks terribly these past few years, outside of McFadden. I won't really put McClain on us because he was actually supposed to be the best MLB in that draft. Same **** with Jamarcus, though I didn't want the team to draft him regardless. Darrius ain't terrible but I REALLY wanted Hakeem Nicks in that draft.

Even though Saunders wasn't a playcaller when Hue was here, he was still a big part of a top 10 offense in the league. I don't mind giving him a shot at all.

Them Stanford LB can play ....i hope the Raider pick one of them up in the 2nd or 3rd round...that Chase Thomas boy remind me of Brian Cushing a bit ...move Burris to the inside and have Thomas and Wheeler outside ...

True, we do need a pass rusher but I think a corner would be better IMO (As long as we don't let them go like we did Woodson, Nnamdi, and even Routt). Our defense can make any RB look like a stud. It is absolutely sickening watching this team getting ran all over.

I wanted us to take Nicks too that draft. I also wished we took either AD or Megatron in the other draft. Our team is evidence of what a few bad drafts can do to a NFL franchise.

I never said #3 for a pick in the mid-late 20's
+ 5th n 7th , theres a bigger difference there that mid-late teens

We're also saying this theoretically without many "studs" at the top

However, if the 49ers offered a 1/2/3 it would be accepted by Reggie in a HEARTBEAT
