He's got a restaurant in the East Village called BaoHaus and a GREAT series on Vice. His style is somewhat similar to Anthony Bourdain. I don't think I can post his Vice vids here on NT, but if you get a chance, check them out. I wouldn't be surprised if he gets a show on the Travel Channel or something along those lines. I expect big things from dude in 2013....

I ate at Bauhaus before. You can get more for cheaper in Chinatown. Place is just hyped

still need to try the other two burrito spots in the sf vid
his dad has game
i see you pops with the pump fake

his book is coming out this year too. definitely expect big things this year!

I watched the LA, Taiwan, and SF episodes. His character is really lively but sometimes the excess is a little off putting. He's like a grittier asian Anthony Bourdain.

dude looks like an asian variant biggie. fool needs to dress his age.

Enjoy his vids.

Being Taiwanese, really liked his Taiwan video cause I been to most of the food spots he stopped at.

Need to go surfing tho :nerd:

Does anyone else tend to get annoyed by some "food personalities"  I know some big league chefs tend to be a little nuts

but it seems like they're always trying to prove how out there or edgy they are... maybe it's just me..

I like guys like Bourdain/Huang b/c they pull no punches. VASTLY different from other personalities like Guy Fieri, Alton Brown, etc. It's no slight on them, but just a different style.

*Bourdain's book (Kitchen Confidential) is a dope read as well.

Eddie Huang brings the lulz.

Felt his Bay Area coverage of SF mission burritos was OD though. Oakland Burritos are better.

I like his series on vice. Unlike ben baller who has a douchebaggish personality about him which in turn makes him unbearable to watch. Eddie has a like able fun vibe about him, I can see him making it on main stream.

kitchen confidential is good. i'll get eddie huang's book too. i like eddie but those outfits kill me sometimes.

Eddie's youtube joints is aight.  Didn't watch the la or sf one, but the taiwan one was good.  He was on cnn about his resturant getting a bad review in the ny times.  I wanna go but weary of dumplings.  Everytime I get them I get sick.
Guy Fieri has a face made for punching

Real talk, I met guy fieri in person and he's cool as.

Ben does act douchey.  I thought it was me.  I was watching that episode with rob kardashian, and the part when he's making fun of rob for losing dancing with the stars and he said "well if I had my face blown off, i'd probably lose too", talking about the dude who beat rob.  No wonder why he doesn't have a show on real tv, saying some stuff like that.  That was extra harsh.

No joke, after reading KC, I haven't looked at people who work in the restaurant industry the same. MUCH respect to those who grind it out in the food business. If you aren't cut out for it, you'll absolutely sink in the water.
