Sperm DONOR is ordered to pay child support. Vol. Really?

I can kind of expound on this a bit. I was a sperm donor to a married lesbian couple who are friends of mine. Writing up that contract is no joke. We made mine as iron-clad as possible. The courts in my state made it very very confusing. I am absolved of any financial responsibilities. The child will never know the father even though I am around them from time to time. They do have my permission to contact me in the event that the child needs a blood transfusion or anything medical like that.

That said, If I was ever in the position this guy is, I'd happily chip in. It may not be your baby in the sense of possession, but it's still a part of you.

I was a sperm donor for my sister and her wife. Worked out good!

If you'd happily chip in, why would you bother signing a contract?

Not to get raped by the courts and give up half your income a month. There's a difference between voluntary doing something and a involuntary mandate.

Forcing someone to take a child they don't want seems like child endangerment to me. He should go full kamikaze and take a leave of absence from his job claiming Paternal Postnatal Depression (yes, it's real) and file for full benefits from the state.

They'll always find a way to pin it on a guy and never take responsibility for their actions.

In this case it looks like kansas state is the one going after the guy and making him miserable. The lesbian parents said they weren't the ones pursuing it. kansas doesn't want to recognize their partnership and have her partner pay support so they went after the guy. Makes no sense.

Does make me wonder what the percentage is of men who seek child support from the mothers. I know it also depends on custody which seems like the mothers get more of. Best believe if I had a child and the mother made more money than me I'd hate her if she asked for some court ordered child support from me.

This is absurd...they are gonna push the homophobic agenda so hard that they probably will get otherwise homophobic men to support gay parenting because they nor their buddies wanna be on the hook for a baby that they nutted out for a quick $50 bucks.
