Everything you said on the first page about Martin (plus proving you weren't trolling by posting previous posts) and black comedians. I didn't really bother to read any of your other posts unless they were quoted on the last page I posted.

And I said months ago he looked like Jerome  or a character out of a blaxploitation film

Black comedies in general arent funny, theyre littered with stereotypes, *******, and attempts at cheap laughs. The plots and themes are always the same across every show and theres never anything thats truly funny or of substance going on, and this show was the epitome of it before Tyler Perry came along. Not a single thing about this show is good to me, or him for that matter.

That word that is censorsed is a synonym for tomfoolery in regards to black people

It's sad how easy any topic on this board can turn into a race issue. It's all preference and opinion. I do find it absurd, though, to say that most black sitcoms aren't or were not funny.

My top 5 Comedy Sitcoms (in order)
1. Friends
2. Martin
3. Fresh Prince
4. Married With Children
5. Jamie Foxx Show

Seinfield had it's moments here and there, definitely not one of my favorites, though. I'd put Spin City(M.J. Fox era) and NewsRadio ahead of Seinfield.

As far as the subject of the thread goes, I don't see the producers of Martin winning any lawsuit off this. There are definitely similarities between the Jerome character and Trinidad. Not enough to say his style is completely based off the character Jerome. Oh, and Trinidads music sucks!!!
 
IMO people don't find certain material funny because they cannot relate to the subject matter or how its being said. I grew up watching the Martin show and always found it entertaining. I never got into Seinfeld because I thought it was too corny for my liking. But to eaches own!

I just started liking Seinfield. It's old man humor

It helps me sleep its something I throw on to catch some naps.

Cool, that means you read the important part :rolleyes . I put Friends at the 1 spot because of longevity, and mainly to say what you enjoy to watch or find funny should have nothing to do with race. As I stated before, it's all about preference. It's my opinion meaning yours means nothing to me. If you don't like it it's not gonna change the fact that I do.
