I was able to smell it and a few other scents couple of weeks back.
I liked it then, but if it's not what I remembered it's going back.

How did you spray it? On its own or layered?
I ask because I realized that the base of the nect or under the nose is a no-go for me. Headache city, I usually do the pulse points under the ear or back of neck. I did HB x Aventus a few weeks ago, 1 spray of both on base of neck and got a headache, just too strong. Mind you, the 100ml bittle sprayers are beaatly. The top note is iso e super, most batches are consistently 18-20% concentrated, so I may need to dial it back a bit.

Noooooo, the concoction you created is fine as is. I think it depends on the wearer. As you stated how and where you spray are main factors, as with any frag (i.e. Herod, Creed).

Yeah its def not adventus but its a good 1 to have in the collection. Keep checkin jet 4 the adventus, me n some other members snatched the 4oz bottle for around 150 a couple months ago im sure it will pop up again.

I'm really surprised to see so many aventus supporters in this thread... I'm trying to figure out if its the actual smell of the fragrance which i find no big deal in comparison to others in the same price range or because its expensive and exclusive. I've tried it over and over but never worked for me

It's the smell and the response it generates.
I think if there was a cologne that was 40 bucks for 4oz and had the performance of Aventus, we would all have bath tubs full of it. I couldn't care less that it's expensive.. in fact, that's one of the "downsides" to it in my opinion. I've only bought smaller splits of it because I never wanted to drop the 200+ bucks on a bottle. I will finally cough up the money the next time it goes on sale, though.
I love the notes and profile and it's the single most complimented fragrance I own. Not only is it "Oh you smell good" kind of response, but it's "OH MY GOD LET ME SMELL YOU" kind of response. I said earlier, I had a total stranger literally all over me because of the smell. I've had a woman I was dating tell me she couldn't control herself around me when I wore it.
If it doesn't work on your skin, try spraying more on your clothes instead.

i might have to grab that jet 150 special when it comes around and give it a real shot. The dry down might change my perspective

You also might just have fatigue to the smell, it happens a lot with Aventus. I know I'll stop smelling it on myself.. but people will tell me they still smell it on my 8 hours later.
It's really a beast, though. I can spray some on my shirt, wash and dry it a few days later, and I can still smell it on the shirt.

Many people on here agree their are plenty of fragrance that smell better then aventus but they don't get as many complements as aventus... something about aventus that many women are captivated by it. I'll wear some Herod or bal d'afrique for me but if I want to get some attention/ compliments from the opposite sex aventus is a heavy hitter
