Do we have a name for it?

I wouldn't consider us technological just yet, maybe more along the lines of a digital/informational age.

What does everyone else think?
 
Takeoff age

Were on the verge of huge discoveries that will put is beyond your imagination, and probably in our lifetime.
 
We are BEYOND ages man, time is limitless and it is no longer linear. Everything that has happened and will happen is happening, all at the same time. Some scientists say that the biggest evolutionary development in humans (that positioned us as the dominant species on earth) was memory, not just to remember personal experiences  short term and long term but to pass on information about those experiences through stories songs and art.

Now imagine the Internet a place where memory is infinite, there is no such thing as nostalgia, or even futurism, not in world where children grow up with the Internet as key part of their lives and have the totality of the human experience right at their fingertips, it becomes impossible to look at time and a linear series of ages.

It's the age of every age.

a. : a period in history or human progress

b. a cultural period marked by the prominence of a particular item/trait

as long as it is still happening and is unique to a specific time period it could be related to an "age"

Like someone mentioned technological age or something similar..... technological advances have been happing rapidly over the past 50 years. Most people would agree technology advancement has to do with this "age"

I'd say digital age though.
