during the release fiasco, he posted in the XI thread that he had a size 9.5 in his cart for FNL and would help any NTer out.
i couldnt get FNL to work so i PMd looking for his assistance. we agreed that id send him the money ( $230, to cover both shipping fees) through paypal and he'd have the shoes mailed to him. Once he received said shoes from FNL, he would then ship to me. order was placed on 22nd. got conforimatin a few days later(not sure on exact day). last time i heard from him was on 12-26. he said the shoes were expected at his house on 1-3-12, and he would ship them to me afterwards. well he hasn't logged on to his NT account since 12-29-12. and has ignored all emails ive sent him.

filed a claim with my bank(paid with my debit) they said i will be credited the $230 tomorrow morning.

^^ good for you brah...i hate scammers still fighting of a guy with a scam chargeback...so paypal gift can be refunded if paid through cc?cause i read somewhere in the paypal policy gifts werent refundable whatsoever...

They are refundable. I just got $300 refunded after sending money to a person for some Stealth foams as a gift .

i just had someone try to get me. the emails they used were katherinelunn00@gmail.com, shanneleeo@gmail.com and the name was Katherine Lunn. I got an email that they wanted my pair of Bred IV's. They wanted to send them to their son in the army in Nigeria and offered another $60 if i would send them directly. I sent them a paypal invoice and then got two emails. One saying that their account was debited and mine will be credited as soon as i send tracking. The next email said my account already had the money. The key here for me was the sender was not paypal. Always make sure the sender is accurate. When i checked my account there was no money. I emailed the person back and told them i dont like when people try to scam me and to go bother someone else. This aint my first RODEO. .

yes,but can a gift be refunded if there isnt a credit card involved?i mean if i send money from my paypal balance,for a purchase off ebay,doesnt that mean i dont have any buyer protection?thus i cannot get a refund?

Just out of curiosity, what about as far as western union? Once money is sent through them, can a claim be filed and that money be gotten back after being scammed?

What's up NT Fam,

Just wanted to give everyone a heads up while doing transaction on the Buy/Sell/ trade forum

I sold a pair of DS Jordan XI concords to someone the other day utilizing the Buy/Sell/trade forum. The buyer didn't provide me his NTer name.

Timeline of events

1/2/13 - I received payment on via paypal. sent email to buyer's paypal address to confirm the purchase and shipping address. I received response from the buyer confirming the paypal shipping address and purchased of jordan XI

1/3/13 - The item was shipped via USPS with signature confirmation. Updated paypal and sent buyer the tracking info.

1/4/13 = This morning, I received an email from paypal indicating there has been a claimed place for an unauthorized transaction and there's a hold on the payment that I received. Emailed the buyer and have yet to received a response.

Also to update everyone. It looks like I got my package re-routed back to me and its currently in California. I'll be contacting Paypal soon with the update and have that money refunded since the money is still on hold.

This person got me for my BG Hyperdunks ... Now I need to find out how to cancel the shoes I shipped.

These scammers do the same on Craigslist you can usually spot them when they say their buying it for someone else in another country and to ship it to the person and their willing to falsely over pay and they bug the crap out of you

Just have to look for those small details that give it away.

yeah ive been in the game for a while so the small things stick out to me because they are not normal. never ship anything until you paypal balance shoes the money. not sure if paypal can help as they were never apart of your transaction but you might as well ask. are they really getting these shoes in nigeria?

Just another heads up

Last month a dude tried to do me dirty after sending him money for a pair of stealths.

Dude avoided my messages and then gave me an excuse of being a single father 

There is this dude on NT who is trying to purchase my GMP ,but I looked at his profile and he has no posts or anything. 

 

Any suggestions on what I should do?

make sure buyer pays with paypal, has a confirmed address, make sure you provide tracking, and if item your selling is sold for over $250 you need to get sig confirmation per paypal. Basically, cover all your bases.

I don't know their NT screen name, but last I checked, they were tryna sell some galaxy rookies for like 700 bucks on ebay

I just ran into a scammer on ebay that goes by the screen name D.W.31

Fellas... This thread is for help/awareness for the Niketalk community. Not eBay. Lets keep it that way please.

Now if you find a NTer scamming/frauding on eBay, and you have proof to back up your accusation please post the info and it will be handled accordingly.

I just got a letter from bank saying I was denied the claim and the 230 I was credited will be reversed.

Scammer gets the W smh
