Official Scam/Fraud Thread

@NickStam  he's been an ebay meember since 07 and has 85 feedback so I was honestly surprised. @bigj505  Thanx man I truly appreciate it!! and yea I'll try that. Thanx again!
 
Dude bought a pair from me on kixify. Has address on kixify but none on paypal. I message him asking him to put the address he wants me to ship to on paypal. He doesn't and sends me a message instead with the address and a pic of this really ugly chick.

Does it sound like he's trying to scam me? Should I just refund him and move on?

Ok, this is what the guy sent me when I told him to add the address onr paypal "I put the address on PayPal as gift address to send it too."

Still no address showing on the paypal order page and it says not protected under seller protection. So I thought forget this I'm not getting scammed here and refunded him. I told him to go his account on paypal and add the address he wants me to ship to and then repurchase the shoes

don't take paypal gift payments. a gift payment wouldn't have an address attached because its supposed to be for people you know and not for merchandise. therefore, an address wouldn't be needed.

I personally wouldnt deal person anymore. Just sounded fishy to begin with

Yes, the guy sounded like a total scammer. Unsurprisingly,I haven't heard from him again. This is the second time this happened to me on kixify.
 
I'm Gald NikeTalk Has Mods And Admins That Care. I Previously Used ************* And Their Marketplace, And Was Scammed By A Member Named Dwade_. At The Time I Was A Rookie At This And He Took My DS Lebron X "Dolphins" In A Sneaker Trade. Although I Was Mad, I Used It As A Learning Experience. However Since April Of 2013, When He Scammed Me, I Have Received Emails From 4 Different People About Being Scammed By Him. WAIT... Here's The Kicker...We ALL Were Scammed Trading For The SAME PAIR SHOES (His "Alleged" DS Electrolime Foams). All Five Of Us Personally Contacted ************* About Their Scamming Member, And Pretty Much Their Admins Said Tough Luck, Our Fault And DIDN'T SUSPEND HIS ACCOUNT, Even With The Evidence Of 5 Members. To This Day He STILL Has An Active Account And CAN STILL SELL KICKS!!! I Just Wonder How Many People He Has Scammed. Just Think Of The People Who Didn't Email Me And The People That May Have Come Before Me.

Happened to me too, lol. I saw the email address, though.
 
anybody dealt with the member russian bear? i paid for a pair of shadow 1s last friday, he said they wouldnt be shipped out until monday. of course it being friday i had no problem with that at all, so i contact him monday and ask him if i could get the tracking info with no response. i send him another e-mail two days later saying you know, im trying to be patient here but if you cannot respond i have no choice but to go through paypal for a refund... anyway to make a long story short its been eight days and i still have no tracking number and he hasnt responded back since his last e-mail reading, "i am driving home now, was out of town. will send you number asap" and that was two days ago..... what should i do? he seems like he is pretty legit thats what im wondering what the hell is going on? am i freaking out for no reason?
 
From what I've heard, he actually lives in Russia.

PayPal gives you 45 days to file a claim, I'd give him a few more days before taking action.

thanks for the reply! maybe im just paranoid, i had a feeling i shouldve stayed away from it being as he is in fact out of the country but whatever.... im going to give him today and tomorrow for some type of response before i actually take any type of action.

i appreciate it homie! and big thanks to s dubl s dubl ! he finally got back with me, although he gave me a tracking number i havent been able to see if it really works until it actually gets to usps.... he said "track on russianpost.ru and then on usps.com" of course, the russianpost.ru is entirely in russian so its basically useless to get into tracking info there and its not available on usps.com so i guess i will see what happens in the next couple of days......
 
I think there's an extension on google chrome that will show pages in English on foreign websites, or you can copy/paste on google translate.

thats crazy because i went to that website like 10 times already and not once could i find anything for a translation but as you as you responed i went back to the page and i got a pop-up that asked if i need the page translated.... i appreciate you big time for all the help homie! it means a lot.

He is claiming I sent him fake concords. I suspect he already had a fake pair before I sent the legit pair, and is now trying to claim that the pair he already had was legit and what I sent him was fake. This is ridiculous because I have documentation of purchase from finish line, and the mods wouldn't have approved the post in the first place if they were fake. Anyway, this guy already opened a claim thru paypal and is attempting to get a full refund and send me the fake pair he already had. I have plenty of references and have bought and sold on this site for years with nothing but positive experiences until this altercation, where he has more negative feedback than positive. Any help would be greatly appreciated and I suggest you ban this guy before he scams anyone else, as this is not his first account of suspicious activity.

I hate people that order things to switch what they have with what they ordered. Happened to me once and I was pissed...
