JB release numbers now reflect the hype for the shoe/colorway...

We call those restocks. There is no second release, because there's no second release date. It's not advertised. There is no announcement on Twitter.

So it's a restock.
The Kilroys were advertised as a restock on Eastbay and Champs, but they had too many numbers to be just a restock. It seemed like 2nd release to me. Considering the fact that more than one retailer did this on Christmas day, I'm more inclined to believe that they don't actually call it what it is. Restocks usually go in 2 minutes. These were still up for almost a few hours before they were sold out. That has the makings of a rerelease as this thread states.

Keep in mind, they can call it whatever they want: restock, rerelease. Restock sounds nicer to the consumer rather than rerelease which would officially make people consider it a different set of production runs rather than the same production run, or close to it.

There were announcements for the Bred IV on FNL and the 'Raptor' VII's on FL. But them XI's on NDC just popped up like a mofo! LOL

I was talking about NDC
I can dig it. Was talking to both of you tho in the whole re-stock/re release thingy, tried to quote kamuekcmo  too but only your quote came up. Just so you know I agree with you that if it's not announced I wouldn't consider it a re-release.

I was talking about NDC
The VII's dropped on two different dates... They dropped everywhere on 9/1/12 and then again they dropped everywhere on 11/24/12, including NDC because that's when and where i got mine from on 11/24/12 and I was pissed because that was also the date that the Thunder 4's were supposed to drop and I planned on having them for my Bday, until it got changed..... They have never put a restock on a release date calender, here is footlockers, but it was on Finishlines and Nikes also.... This also goes for the whole Kilroy pack... I can also take pics of my Thunders that have a production date that is after the original release date....

The resell market is going to be dead but if you got a plug i.e. know someone with a solid account and volume you will be good if you resell....which is weak but a broad resell market is dead.

The early release shoes....those are being sold more and more from Nike. So....do the math.

MJ is not thrilled with the 28 or some of the folks.....:x

2013 will be an interesting year.

Was this stated somewhere?

Are JB release numbers reflecting hype a good or bad thing? releasing only half the stock of black/red 13s was very smart :rolleyes If they do release again they will sell out just as fast :x

JB just got the point. Make more, sell more. Some argued me don on another post about market saturation and traditional business models. Jordan Brand is about to slay resellers and crackdown on rogue account holders, sell at resell prices. The game is about to change.

I don't get the reasoning for this thread. Where are the numbers? Anyone can say what you said and get people to cosign it.
The proof is in the 6 or 7 shoes that I listed at the start of the thread, and the fact that shoes are now having a 2nd release date (much more than a restock) a few months after they drop (raptors, all the killroy pack 9's), or the fact they changed the release date of the thunders to produce more, or the fact that GR shoes (bred 13 and Olive 9 which were a limited GR due to no kids sizes) are showing up in stores with very limited numbers all of a sudden...
No its not.

Numbers > some half assed theory that's been toted for years now.

These restocks are RTVs from locations that didn't sell their stock not some magical second and third run.

I already mentioned the Kilroy Pack, but you're right about the Charcoal's. The second and fourth times there wasn't a date. Those dates they gave the kilroy pack and charcoals have a lot to do with the holidays.

Thunders have a production date after the original release date? They just came out before Christmas.

My Charcoal VII's have a production date from April to May of 2012. I just got them this week.

Thunder's original release date was Nov 17th, then it got pushed back when JB actually put more shoes into production.  Luckily there are some members on here with actual Nike corporate employees in their network, so that is where some of this info comes from.  Nike actually stopped production on some shoes to dedicate more resources to the additional Thunders being produced late.

It's not totally a theory this time, kamuekcmo just did what some can't and let NT in on some legit information.  That Raptor release was not overseas pairs or any kind of left over pairs, they sent left over pairs of the 9-1-12 release allotment to outlets 4-5 weeks before that actual, date announced re-release on Nov 24th.  These were actually the first pair JB put this new plan into play with.  The only issue was that they allotted too many pairs to the original release and over estimated the popularity of this colorway.  And leftovers went to outlets quick, because believe it or not, there is a HUGE number of actual sneaker people that don't know about retro's popping up at outlets, much less the average consumer.  So people that just shop at NDC/FNL/FTL, etc... online or in store just thought "dang it, I missed out and this retro is gone now too."  Then the actual re release comes and sells out in a day on Nov 24th.  99.9% of the things JB and Nike do are not are not done to attract/retain us dedicated consumers they already have on lock.  Even guys I know that get every release by camping to guarantee they get a pair, have only 5% of the knowledge about these shoes and where/how to get them as an NT member that has been here for a month.  LOL this spring people will be coming in here saying, "DAMN kamuekcmo, REPPED!!"

Also, congrats on the recent Charcoal pick up Magic, surprised me how much I like mine!

It's not a theory. He put out some knowledge that others knew about but couldnt or wouldnt share.

The Thunders are proof of the production efforts by JB and Nike and the entire Kilroy IX pack is evidence of the restocks.

I bet the production dates are damn near similar, but the Calvin Bailey's dropped in early November, and again on Christmas day via online retailers.  picked up my MBJ IX's this way. It makes clear sense.

lol, its funny that people are getting mad now that this is happening. the next step is sending more to ALL PHYSICAL STORES not just a select few.

Not all stores get picked up or are able to get selected to hold the shoes.  Some managers will turn down shoes cause they dont want the problems, or they have a hard time selling  units.

AYE, kamuekcmo HAVE U HEARD ANYTHING ELSE ON A POSSIBLE RESTOCK OF THE OLIVE 9'S FOR ALL STAR WEEKEND? I NEEEEED THESE AGAIN! LOL... 'PRESHIATE THE HELP,FAM. HOLLA...

CED B.

It's a done deal Bred 11's and Olive 9's will show up in select stores and online during all star weekend... Info on which stores or sites is unknown at this time..
