The Official Tennis Thread (Vol. 2024 Oz Open Nadal Out)

I know... I do it too!  I was just saying I've never seen tennis players do the double-Swoosh like Grigor does...

Monfils is surely going to lose this third set, once Dimitrov breaks his serve. Forehand errors the first priority to address quickly.

I know I'm pulling a FR3SH but I refuse to call tennis player from France by his real name. Dude suckers you in with great talent only to pull Clown antics like this every time.

Does Thiem have a ripe opportunity against Berdych? I'd like to see the upset, one of my least-liked players in the sport.
Dunno... no sure.  Thiem was amazing vs Stan back in Madrid, but haven't watched a lot of him since.

Completely understandable. Rooting for either Monfils or Dimitrov clearly over Berdych.

Edit: Realize I'm disrespecting Roger yet again. Let me not assume or look too far ahead in the draw.

Very impressed he rallied to win three straight sets against Ernie.

But Ernie was hamstrung in the 4th and 5th, I think?

He's close friends with Thiem and didn't want to retire.

What a choke by Grigor... shoulda taken the 2nd, which changes the dynamic for the 3rd.  No, he is not ready.

Definitely not ready, but I think he's on the up and up generally.  It was his match to lose today.

Forehand errors. No response for Monfils' out-wide serve.

I became a Nole fan when he stopped these antics. Tennis Player from France certainly found the energy when celebrating after the match. Is he out of shape?I know conditions are rough out there but this isn't the first time he looked gassed. He has all the talent in the world but his mental focus and his antics hold him back.

Back from a jog, enjoying the five-setter between Cilic and Simon. If I'm not mistaken, the Frenchman owns the Croatian in years past.

Was hoping to catch part of the fed match but by the time I got home from work it was already over.

Guess that's a good thing. :smokin

Caro holding serve easily twice, also getting the early break. Her and Rory both flourishing post-breakup. Born and bred to be competitive athletes.

a friend of mine studied abroad in Denmark during school and he told me all girls in Denmark look blonde, beautiful and fit... Caro was always known for being a sweetheart tho, so who knows what happened between them.

My guess is Rory wasn't ready for major commitment, and wanted to continue smashing the models he's been seen with in the tabloids.

Similar or even better than Denmark, I seriously want to retire in Sweden. Blonde bombshells, beautiful blue eyes, fit.

Caro has never looked this good. She's actually not pushing as much anymore.
