I hope catching 22 isn't the roller coaster ride that catching 18 was. That was a terrible year.

The old boxing adage "styles makes fights" is very true. When Serena is healthy, motivated and mentally sharp that adage doesn't really apply to her but when she gets nervous, stressed, etc. players like Kerber will always give her problems. The warning signs were there which is why I said what I said before the match. Serena is stressed just like she was when she was chasing #18. I think she'll get #22 but Serena has been nervy ever since Wimbledon last year. I don't know how long she'll keep playing but if you would've told me that she ended her career with 21 majors based off of all the highs and lows, I would be thrilled.

Was only able to watch the 3rd, but wow... But based on that set, Angie was very impressive... matching Serena's groundstrokes and hitting a few awesome winners of her own.  

Happy for her cuz seeing someone win their first slam is incredible.  One hell of a way to follow-up a career-season.

Saw the replay earlier this morning, unreal. But that's essentially what you have to do to beat Serena (and Novak). Play your best, take some calculated risks and hope that the favored player isn't at their best.

Still debating whether to watch the final tonight. Being a Federer fan since early 2000, even I have to admit, Novak's current run is far more impressive. IMO, the best player that Roger played during his 4 year run (2004-2007) was Marat Safin. :\
