This is a terrible look for her. The drug isn't even FDA approved, is only available in places like Latvia and other Russian and Ethiopian athletes have been caught. The drug was on WADA's watch list for a year before when they were determining whether to add it to the banned list. The drug helps with stamina. If Sharapova has had issues with diabetes in the past why is she selling sugerpova candy?

Her story isn't adding up if you look at it objectively. It's amazing that after Lance Armstrong and others that some people are buying her story without question. I'm not saying she's a drug cheat but her explanation doesn't pass muster.

It seems like it's been all downhill against serena since maria beat her in that Wimbledon final when she was 16.

I always forget about the stat that serena has only lost to 4 players in a gs final. 5 losses total, losing to venus twice. Crazy record. The top 3 on the men's side must have impressive records like that too I assume.

Based on the number of media members and others caping for her, I think a decent number of people. She's getting the benefit of the doubt in an era when Lance Armstrong fooled us. All this "innocent mistake" stuff doesn't past muster when you look at her story objectively. Here are questions I have based on her story


1. How is an athlete as meticulous as Sharapova ignore several warnings and emails from WADA, the Russian federation and others that Meldonium would be on the banned list?

2. If you've lived in the States for more than 20 years why are you using a drug that isn't FDA approved, not available to purchase in the States and not considered very effective for her health issues she cited?

3. If the usual cycle for Meldonium is 4-6 weeks, why was she taking it for 10 years?

4. Why was she afforded the opportunity to get her story out there first when the usual process is that WADA announces the failed test?


5. Why is Jadakiss as hard as it gets?

If Hingis got a few years for cocaine then I expect sharapova to get the hammer too. They were saying that cilic failed a test for something and had a 9 month suspension reduced to 6 months though.

Not even surprised that so many sponsors are jumping ship ,I've never seen such a mediocre athlete have such a huge media profile and getting the kind of attention that she got in the past.

At one point she was like the Peyton of Tennis,you couldn't avoid her since she was in so many ads. Way more ads than I've ever seen Serena in too :x.

It damn sure wasn't for her on court play...
