2014 Chevrolet Corvette [UPDATED]

performance wise i hope we get engines like last gen's ZR1, that my friends was a beastly car.

and da dodge viper is animalistic, GM gotta have firepower for that beast.

worst comes to worst, da LS9 is a ALSO a crate engine :smokin

New LT1 will be in the base C7 though. They'll definitely have a more powerful motor in a Z06 if they release one, or a ZR1 equivalent model.

Chevrolet planning low-cost Corvette under Stingray?

If you're burnt out on musings about the Chevrolet Corvette, you'll want to go ahead and skip this post. Motor Trend reports General Motors is hard at work on a low-cost version of the seventh-generation sports car for 2015. Rumored to be called the Corvette Coupe, the car will forgo the Stingray and skip the 450-horsepower 6.2-liter V8 engine in favor of a 5.3-liter V8 with under 400 ponies. If you're keeping track, that's a shade of the same engine found behind the headlights of the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra.

The report also suggests the Coupe will receive a number of aesthetic tweaks to separate it from the Stingray, including different front and rear fascias as well as new front fenders and a rear diffuser. Motor Trend says the point of all this is to cut the car's price tag, which means we may see a Corvette on showroom floors for less than $50,000 if this car comes to fruition.

If it looks practically the same, 380hp for a $45k Corvette doesn't sound so bad at all.

Am I the only one that doesn't like the quad circle exhaust tips ?

IMO dual rectangles would look much better

WoW!

2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray priced from $51,995*

The base MSRP for the 450-horsepower Stingray Coupe will be $51,995, while the Stingray Convertible will go for $56,995 (*both prices include a $995 destination fee). This means that the price increase from 2013 to 2014 is just $1,400 for the coupe and $2,395 for the convertible

Oi
Never been to Houston so I am not sure what that means but plenty of people used the last gen as a DD w/o a problem. City mileage isn't the best but highway was decent.
Love my city but its littered with pot holes. I mean its terrible. I some places it's like logs in the streets in some places. I drive a truck so it's not as bad.

I miss the smooth roads of Cali.

i need to get paid, one way or another. id love to have one

this is actually a car that looks like it should cost more than what it is.................which is rare these days

i wish more companies incorporated this style on more models. i LOVE when they have the gear box situated on the driver's side along with shorter stick and shift. it makes for a more aggressive and sporty interior.

The speedo looks like it was ripped right out of an electric hybrid. It kills the entire car.
A world class sports car should have real gauges.
