If you're from the South, chances are you have a love affair with Publix. Seriously, this is about the only thing I miss since moving to New York. Every time I walk into a Gristedes, I want to sob away the pain of overpriced cereal and lack of product diversity. The worst part is that Northerners cannot sympathize with you, and often just don't get it.

Well I'm here to tell you why Publix is the best.

1. Publix subs are the epitome of perfect.
Really, the list could stop here. But I'll keep going.

2. And Publix cookies are heavenly.
Sugar cookies with sprinkles are awesome, but it's all about the chocolate chip.

3. The stores are incredibly clean.
Spotless, I tell you. SPOTLESS.

I couldn't find this one earlier, but luckily a good samaritan sent it over. Thanksgiving is nothing without this commercial.

Miami raised, goin to school in Tally so yea been around Publix all my life!

The chicken tender pub sub with buffalo sauce n ranch is :wow:hat Those tenders are just crack

I actually stumbled into a Publix in Tallahassee on their grand opening and there were sampling everything. Ice cream cones, brownies, sushi pieces.
 
Too rich for my blood. Walmart>>>

The only thing Publix has is variety. Half the brands there you don't see at Walmart.
 
publix is the ****..

their mardi gras wings will make you wanna go to all the wing spots and slap everybody in there for being so inferior.

their birthday cakes will make every birthday you ever had as a kid seem pointless because you didn't have a publix cake.

i'm positive that their store brand premium ice cream can cure aids.

This should just be a 'classy grocery store appreciation thread'. Nothing is worse than going into gross dirty stores to buy fresh goods and such. If they can't keep the store clean, it makes me sketched about buying things that I will be consuming from there.
 
Publix is the truth. Florida born , Florida raised. I remember when I first found out they're not a national chain.

Shout out to the Publix in tally off Ocala road being one of the best places to pick up women in the country
 
There's a reason why Publix is only in the south. Y'all would buy fried cardboard if it was in aisle 5.

Here in Cali, there are supermarket chains that simply triumph over the likes of Publix. I mean they build a new Whole Foods here every month and each one is bigger and better than the last. The one I shop at has biodegradable rubber floors and cubbies at the entrance to put your shoes in so you can walk (and do somersaults if you want) barefoot on their soft, luscious floors.

Processed cookies. Surely those are not made by hand with organic wheat flour. They only hire new Cordon Bleu grads at my local Whole Foods bakery (sup Emily?)

And besides, Publix reads like Pubix. Can't do it. LOL.

we only got c towns and bodegas in my hood so when I go to Whole Foods i always spend time just admiring the unnecessary varieties they got up in there. like 14 different kinds of orange juice, 6 different types of whole wheat bread, nuts and seeds for 20 a pound cause theyre organic. plus so many milfs. so many rich milfs...
