Really? I mean to each their own. I know plenty of people who would agree with me. I saw 2 different stores FSR (50+ pair) and they ALL had problems.

I personally think this retro was one of the few better then the past retro of its release. Your going to have to shed light on that because I know plenty of old heads saying nothing but great things about this retro.

The quality of the recent 13 release is better than the the previous releases from this year idk where people keep mentioning the quality being bad on these. I still have my beat up 97's and it's hard to distinguish the quality very close though.

Yea ppl just wanna ether roll with the tide or "try" to be different. Wish ppl couldnt make opinions on their own now a days. These are def better then the cdp and just nice in general so idk what ppl are comparing them too saying its bad.
What I dont get is why keep the shoe if you dont think its up to par. Check your shoes before you leave the store

Exactly check the shoes before you buy it and if its not up to your standards walk out the store and let the next have an opportunity. Complaining due to quality then don't buy it stop trolling and trying to convince everyone the quality is bad.

Every pair I saw had serious glue issues and overall the leather was horrible. Like I said I never complain about quality. I wasn't impressed at all.
The 2 stores runs I saw could have been a really bad batch? Idk. Almost everyone I've spoken to about this release has agreed it was sub par.

the glue part i can understand i havent seen any with extra on it but hey like i said why walk out with it like that

Opinions are like @ $ $ holes...
I know there was a HOH in NY that had a FSR with the Jordan tag at the bottom of the tongue upside down. Still sold out. Its not too far fetched to see FSRs with glue stains and some poor leather.
Anyways, sorry to derail thread.. Back to these VIII's..

I actually don't have these...Only the Aquas from '07. Missed all the VIII retros from '03 (or whenever that was).
For those that have either the CDP or the '03 retro...what can I expect to be missing/different on this Retro?

I have the 03s so I'll show the differences.
The eye is always a big difference by size and the way it's stitched. It looks best on the ogs and first retros because it looks bigger than the cdp and 2013 versions. The paint splatter pattern is different on every pair. 1993 and 2003 almost look the same though.
The shades of red have been changing every release. And the fuzz circle on the tongue tends to have different shades of color every time around.
As for what's missing.... Padding and real leather

While the 2003 were still having real leather, some pairs like mine had a ugly shiny surface and the creasing at the toe looked very ugly. My cousin had the ogs......quite perfect leather.

JB started going downhill very fast after those CDP's released.

Don't forget the insole -this release will have the red Jumpman on plain black insole (same as the '03s)
