For somebody who has not been to Cali yet, first city to visit?

I'd say SF...easier to get around..you won't need to rent a car. Theres Bart which is the bay areas subway system and in SF you can catch muni to get around the city. Holler if you come out here we can link up and I'll help you find that LV beanie you been lookin for these past 3 years

Can't go wrong with the big two: San Francisco or Los Angeles.

If you want more of a laid back trip, San Diego is a good spot, same with Santa Barbara.

Either way, you can't go wrong.

yea ive heard san fran is really good for public trans and LA is pretty much a pain in the *** to get around.

thanks guys

lol BgL, damn time flies.

I heard Compton was nice this time of year.
that^ watts, inglewood, east los when you visit LA

which city has the best burritos?

San Diego. In my experience, closer to the border = better Mexican food.

San Diego and San Francisco are so different I can't see any way of possibly comparing the two. I've only been to San Francisco once, but I really felt like I wasn't even in California any more. If you want that stereotypical California beaches and palm trees type place, it's San Diego. If you want to take a trip to an awesome metropolitan city, it's San Francisco. Just need to decide what you want out of the trip.

Los Angeles is cool, and I am currently living here while I go to school. I would say it's a place everyone should see, but am i absolutely in love with it? Nope. It's really not where I want to make my future. (No offense to all LA residents, different strokes for different folks)

I know you're probably trying to be sarcastic but if anyone does go to sf they should take a day to explore oakland. Aside from certain areas and the negative image the media has given oakland, it is a beautiful city with plenty of history and culture.
