Official 2013 NBA Draft Thread

I'm not a fan of Nerlens at all. I see bust written all over him. I'm always skeptical of top picks who can't do much on the offensive side of the ball. If it was up to me, I would stay as far away as I could from Nerlens.

So happy to see that my brother Allen Crabbe is getting drafted man :pimp: :pimp: always dope to see your friends make it. All biasness aside though, whoever ends up with him is going to get a steal. Ready to play right away. Has a league ready shot and is the best shooter in this draft. Excellent size for either wing position.

Hes a bust based on what? cmon nobody gonna remember that you said this in 10 years bro

You cant teach rebounding and blocking shots. A post move and a 15 footer? sure.

I like that Tyson Chandler comparison.

Yeah you want a 7 footer that weighs less than your sg, plenty of dudes in the league that can do noels job

No way im risking my #1 pick on him,

Plenty do it, but they cost money and cap space. That's the reason you draft a young guy who can become your defensive anchor.

And if they have the right frame, putting weight on a 19 year old isn't a huge concern to me.

The way ibaka and chandler got exposed in the playoffs, a "defensive anchor" is the last thing im looking for with a #1 pick

 I really don't care about this being remembered in 10 years though, I don't even get why you said that part.

But in regards to Nerlens, he's going to be the number 1 pick. But to me, its a huge risk to draft someone sans an offensive game that high. I would never draft someone who has a tyson chandler skillset with the NUMBER ONE PICK. This is a weak draft, but there are a plethora of players who I feel will be more productive than Noel. To me, he would have to be a franchise changing defensive big in order for me to take him with the number one pick. I need my number one pick to be able to give me something offensively.

Thank you. There's no way I'm using my number one pick on someone with a TYSON CHANDLER like skillset, and that's if he completely pans out on that end of the floor. His lack of offensive game combined with the amount of games he played this year, would make me steer clear of him. Bust written all over him IMO.

Our coach got exposed.. Ibaka played good defense when he played zbo..

Also if the grizz were missing the shots that they have in these first two games, we would have done a lot better

If I'm the cavs I take Noel first and let him sit until he's ready..

Then you save your cash for a run at lebron next year

Understood but I just don't see them taking 4 players

Keep in mind that via FA and draft the Cavs will get a SF

Can 19,31,33 be enough to move up to take shabazz?

I'd be pumped with Noel and Bazz

Out of curiosity bro, Why would you want Shabazz? An unathletic wing who's not capable of putting the ball on the deck that well and doesn't have a handle, can't beat anybody off the dribble, and has an inconsistent burner at best.

Would much rather have Waiters if I were you. And if you are looking for a 3 man, there are other options better than Shabazz.

You never know how well Bazz will be ... His UCLA days may have been a slight disappointment but that means nothing now.

To reiterate I don't think they draft 4 players so packaging those 3 picks to potentially move up makes sense. Maybe they don't target Bazz but Alonzo Gee and CJ Miles being the only. 3 option means they have to address that position. Which they will

Cavs dont wanna be in the lottery next year, so i think they trade down and try to get everything they can for that #1 pick

which is why I dearly hoped for GRIII to stay in the draft. I thought he'd be a really good pick for Cavs, especially considering the fact that he was projected somewhere in mid 1st round, well within Cavs range.

After Porter though, there's no worthy SF to draft IMO. But i don't want Cavs to draft Porter with their #1 pick. I guess if they are drafting Noel with #1 pick, they should seek to get a SF via free agency.
