Official 2013 NBA Draft Thread

Cho's philosophy is draft talent, trade for need.

FO was high on Ben, Anthony Bennett in jan-feb.

Henderson will get a QO and Cho will let the Market determine value.

Also, Mullens is a rfa and mcroberts is a ufa so there is a glaring hole at the 4. Unless we sign Millsap or Jefferson i think Bennett is the guy. Wouldnt be mad at ben bein picked though or trading down

I would love for for Dieng to fall to Chicago. He would be the perfect backup for Noah. If not him i would want THJ

5th year is irrelevant in LA....

Think about the money he's saving in taxes if he plays for one of the Texas teams?

I honestly think he's a lock for Houston.

Dwight, Asik, Parsons, Harden, Lin, etc....

They'd be almost locks for the WCF over the next couple of years.
He'll flirt, but he's not leaving LA. He wanted to be in LA for more than basketball, and I doubt that changes.

Says the Lakers fans...You acting like he as wanted to be in LA for a long time when that's hardly the case. He didn't want to be there at all, it took him a long while and burning all his bridges to warm up to the idea.

He might stay, he might not...no one knows what that indecisive clown will do precisely because he is a indecisive clown.

Have we seen a guy turn down that 5th year yet to sign for less elsewhere? I don't see it happening. It's been said that he's wanted to be in LA for a while, not just with the Lakers. He wants to be in the LA market, hollywood, all of that. That's not even arguable.

It's about to happen.
He wants to play in Houston with Harden, less pressure and more fun in his mind, i can already feel it.
I'm calling it now.

I can see that happening but leaving 30 million on the table just to have fun :smh: ... If Dwight leaves, which direction does LA go? Tank the season, try to draft Wiggins/Parker ?

Dwight stands to make more money in Houston/Dallas than LA because of the lack of state taxes in Texas.

Yeeeeah.

Even more reason to see him in a Rockets uni. Im srs too, no troll.
Nothings 100%, but in my eyes he just isn't about that Purple and Gold life...and he knows it.
I seriously see him playing in Houston next season. It makes perfect sense for him, especially with that tax info.

Think Dwight stays in LA when the dust has settled. Somebody with some damn get **** done attitude will finally sell him on LA, and not just the analysts saying it on TV who know nothing about Dwight.

The "Cuban Wants To Make A Splash" factor needs to be entered into the equation though. Might give Dwight free AXS TV on his Comcast bill.

Dwight just wasn't made to play in LA. Houston does make great sense given their young talent and tax. Dwight and Harden would be :pimp:

Nah he does have some post game, but his body won't be able to catch up with bruising PFs in NBA. It's another story if Jabari can bulk up though. Similar to Melo.. I don't think Melo was big enough to play 4 when he entered the league.
Melo came into the league at 235. He's allegedly 230 now.

Anyone see the Nets combine results? Trevor Mbakwe put up 21 reps on the bench press

Mbakwe. :pimp: St. Paul native.

High motor... will be a solid second round pick for some team. Still raw, needs to refine his offensive game and learn the concept of "touch".

^ honestly how much weight can he put on?

I feel he can be at most 225 heavier than that and he will be injury prone
How do you come to such conclusions?

Its been studied some dudes cant put on weight without injuring their bodies

People who can put on lots of muscle have broad shoulders and a big waist look it up

Neither of which he has

Dwight's situation this summer will be an interesting one. I can definitely see him leaving LA for Houston (less pressure & criticism & Houston has a brighter future as of now). However, he's leaving A LOT of money on the table with a decision like that. Should be interesting

Whoever gets Larkin in the late 1st is getting a steal.

Real point guard skills, great in the pick and roll, good shooter and is an explosive athlete.

He's short but so is Chris Paul

i'm hoping we (okc).. can use 12 and reggie jackson to move up.. then get larkin in the late 1st (even if we have to use the bobcats 2nd to move up)

That would be nice, him getting 15-20 mins off the bench. Play him at the point slide Russ to the two would also be dangerous. I don't trust Scott Brooks though, he couldn't even find minutes for Lamb who could have played a bigger role as a rookie.
