Official 2013 NBA Draft Thread

Think of your boy Blatche with a higher IQ and an actual brain.

Man, I hope so. If the Wizards go w/ Porter, they'll have to do something about the need for a stretch 4. I honestly don't think Kadji will be there by the time the Wizards pick with #38, so they might have to move up into the late first round to take him.

Alex Len moving up the boards.

Some ppl up here saying he is among the Top 3 on the Cavs big board.

Please no.

If they took ******g Len #1 I'd lose my mind

Len would go well with the other two reaches (though I kind of like Thompson) on the team.

They got Flip Saunders in Minnesota now, so i dont expect them to **** up draft picks again . Always thought Ben would be a better fit than Vic there though.

Flip said in a podcast on ESPN in February that "Oladipo is my Wade of college basketball".

Perks of having your new GM formerly work for ESPN, where all your comments are documented.

I love Vic but that comparison has been an joke from the start. Wade at 'Quette was another level :smh:

Oladipo doesn't have the offensive game that Wade had coming out of college but other wise I can see the comparison. Very similar builds, freak athletes and can dominant on defense.

Just looked back at Wade's stats in his sophomore year :x

Seems nobody wants Derrick Williams. Minnesota has been shopping him two years consecutively.

Vic has good slashing ability. He needs to continue developing consistency on perimeter shot.

Cavs working on something major apparently. Exploratory talks for #1 pick. Torn between noel/ben if they keep it

I still think Noel is the right pick. Allow him to fully heal by regulating and limiting his minutes rookie year.

Taking two SG's in the lottery in consecutive years in Cleveland only works if you believe McLemore is a premium starting 2-guard of the future. Waiters remains in a sixth man, Harden-type role like at Cuse. Could even close out fourth quarters with a small lineup of Kyrie, Waiters, McLemore. Slightly similar to OKC.

Something's going to go down

Also: @SamAmicoFSO: Also, according to those within organization, Cavs lukewarm on Victor Oladipo or Anthony Bennett at #1, going back & forth on Noel/McLemore.

 How many more guys are the Cavs gonna target at #1?

All they're trying to do is trade out of that spot by threatening to take someone elses coveted player.

Cavs should take Noel let him get healthy and just be bad enough to be a lottery team next year in a loaded draft.

Noel should be the consensus #1 IMO, I don't see anything stopping him from becoming an elite defender and rebounder in the league. he's raw offensively but he just has great basketball instincts, IQ and awareness that i could see him developing into 15 ppg. He's only 19, already had skills that translate on the next level and he fits on that Mike Brown team better than any other prospect.
