Official 2013 NBA Draft Thread

DARRRRRKOOOOOOO.

I would love to see DJ Stephens drafted as well. And obviously Trevor Mbakwe and Rodney Williams. Just think Mbakwe will though.

Gonna miss the first 30 minutes of the draft because of work.

Trades are gonna start happening soon :nerd:

As much as I like the 2014 class, Wiggins/Randle/Parker are the only sure fire stars in that draft with Wiggins having the potential to be a top 5 player in a couple years. I like Gordon and Andrew Harrison but they could go either way. Hezonja is kinda raw besides his shooting, can't play d and doesn't have a good handle for a 2 guard.

Dude, you gotta remember classes always start out that way, there were questions about Wade, about Bosh, about Melo even, the only sure thing was bron.

They all have immense ceilings.

Whichever Harrison is the chucker, I *** w/ the other one

Chucker is Aaron, he's definitely overrated because of how good his brother is.

I think Andrew can have the best season of any college pg next year with his skill set and the talent around him at UK.

Haven't been in here in a minute...

I think 2014 will have more talent depth whereas the '03 class is very top heavy

Alex Len really gonna be the Cavs pick

Len is growing on me, the more tape you watch, you realize how

1. Terrible Mark Teorgeon was for his development
2. How god awful P'shon Howard, Nick Fuast and Wells were at PG, they could barley make a simple post entry pass.
3. How is ankle injury hampered throughout the year.

Him going 1 isn't insane when you consider his upside is probably the highest in the draft, its not ridiculous.

It's a risk with all the factors at play.

Would him going first in this draft be any more questionable than Thompson and Waiters going fourth in the last two? Probably not.

Beating a dead horse here but.............

LOL yea this is just flat out false. Ever heard of agility? That is an aspect of athleticism.

Uh..............never said it wasn't. Something Olynyk is also mediocre at by the way. Has terrible lateral quickness on the defensive end.

completely disagree agility, body control these are aspects of athleticism, they are not skill or sport specific, there is a reason a guy like Luke Jackson can pop off a vertical higher than Iggy or JR, but when it comes to actually running and moving his rickety *** can't translate that into efficient motion on a basketball.

We can agree to disagree. You can argue Luke Jackson is a better athlete than them, but Iggy and JR are much better basketball players and with their skill they can put themselves in a better position to display that athleticism. Same with Joe Alexander. Kid was a great athlete but could not show it in the league because he didn't have the ball skills to get loose.

Like I said, I don't think he's a terrible basketball player. On the contrary, his skills are rare and adept for today's game. He's just very unathletic which hurts many facets of his game. Athleticism is about movement. Once you introduce a ball into the equation, you start assessing sport specific skill as well. Olynyk is a bad athlete by NBA standards but he's skilled so he'll find a spot somewhere. I'm not insulting your countryman, bruh. It is what it is. I think I had this exact same argument with ska and a few others yearssssssss ago

I don't think it's that much of a difference between Len and Nerlens right now when you consider how decent Len is on both ends of the floor. Don't know about #1 pick worthy but he's top 3 worthy so it ain't that far off.
