Official 2013 NBA Draft Thread

Sacramento has been aggressive in trying to move up from seventh in the draft, league sources tell Y! Likely target: Ben McLemore.

sacramento would draft another guard

But wont kyrie just be A RFA so Cavs can match??

If he really wants to leave... He won't take an extension and play his contract out including the team option 4th year.

He'll have plenty of suitors ready to MAX him as soon as the clock strikes 12:01 the day of free agency.

i think once his rookie contract is up, the cavs can make him a qualifying offer making him a RFA. other teams can offer him the max but the cavs have and will match.

I would only consider that JJ Watt if it was Top 15 protected. Because that almost means that if we don't make the playoffs, we get it. But if we DO make the playoffs, it goes to the Magic. Which I could entertain tolerating. Tolerating at best because I still think that's WAY too much to give up for one prospect in a draft like this. But if it ever happened, that'd be interesting because it shows how TRULY enamored Flip is with Vic.

The cavs will not let kyrie go after his contract rookie contract is up, if he leaves it will be because he forces his way out or plays his contract out and becomes a ufa

Utah likes Dennis Schroeder a great deal (14 and 21), and scant chance Nets (22) and Pacers (23) let guard reach New York, sources tell Y!

If he's there then the feeling among league sources is Trey Burke is looking very strong at New Orleans at 6.

League sources say Utah has interest in including Kanter if it can move up.

Eric Pincus ‏@EricPincus
Some draft probabilities from oddsmaker http://pregame.com - Noel 67% chance at #1

Sam Amick ‏@sam_amick
The Phoenix-Sacramento situation is dependent on how draft unfolds, but unclear who the Suns are after and what scenarios lead to pick swap.

Anthony Slater ‏@anthonyVslater
My guess tonight: Thunder stay at #12 and get Pittsburgh center Steven Adams. Just a gut feeling though.

Buzz starting to occur here inside the Barclays. Lot of unknowns.

If the Cavs could put together a trade for Aldridge or Love and still keep Kyrie and Varejao, that team with LeBron next year would be ******g great. I would think Cleveland would be even more boring than Portland though for LMA.

I really just wanna see a team or two make a huge power move like that. The Hawks have the cap space but I don't think it'll happen, and the Sixers could potentially put together something pretty good with their cap space plus Bynum probably coming cheaper this year. Rockets could be the team to make the real power move if they're able to keep their core parts and sign Dwight.

Especially cause Love can shoot 3s well. LeBron could drive and kick... or Love could be down there to rebound if LeBron doesn't finish.

And that's without even mentioning Kyrie.

See, now I'm getting to excited about that trio and it will never happen , nor deep down do I probably want it to because that would result in Kevin Love leaving the T'Wolves.

Man a lot of people's "breakdowns" sounding real similar to stuff I saw or heard on espn recently lol. I just hope the Bulls get somebody good is that asking for too much?

We on the same boat fam, who you like for them at 20?

I want Hardaway Jr or Crabbe in the 1st rd and Curry or Kadji in the 2nd ... If it's Whitney in the 1st, I'm changing the channel :smh:
I'll take either one of those two and hopefully no cats like Whitney and Plumlee.. I don't really want Deng's brother either lol.

So what happens if he doesn't accept any extension from any team and just wants to play out his original contract?

Celtics and Nets continue to make significant progress on parameters of a Garnett-Pierce deal, sources in talks tell Y! Sports.

Adrian Wojnarowski ‏@WojYahooNBA
The teams won't seek approval of Garnett to waive his no-trade clause "until the deal is agreed upon," one source in talks tells Y!

Adrian Wojnarowski ‏@WojYahooNBA
For Boston to get Garnett to agree to waive his no trade, it takes a unique circumstance: Moving with Pierce to a big market might be it.

Marc J. Spears ‏@SpearsNBAYahoo
Clippers aren't expected to trade G Erick Bledsoe tonight despite interest from the Raptors, Pistons, Hornets, Magic & Mavs, sources tell Y!

If Oladipo is gone, Phoenix may look to move down a bit in hopes of picking up another asset and still getting their #2 target, Cody Zeller

Jonathan Givony ‏@DraftExpress
Zeller also has a lot of fans in Charlotte's front office, but there's only one guy calling the shots there: MJ. Would he take him at #4?

Seth Davis ‏@SethDavisHoops
mid to late second round. Intriguing prospect. RT @rbuck76: Seth is Carmicheal getting drafted?

Jerry Zgoda ‏@JerryZgoda
If he's there, I bet Flip takes Trevor Mbakwe with that 52nd pick late in 2nd round

Seth Davis ‏@SethDavisHoops
Brey was just asking about him. Late 2nd rd. Undersized but tough. RT @alnen32: Think Trevor Mbakwe has a decent shot in the late second?

Charley Walters ‏@Charley_Walters
St. Cloud's Nate Wolters worked out for 12 NBA teams, the last for the Pacers this week.

Cody Zeller on the way to the draft.

Shame my man Seth Curry will go undrafted. He can help a lot of teams in the league and In my opinion completely underrated. Everyone focuses so much on what he can't do.

18 a game in the ACC w/a stress fracture in his shin.

writing this down for my own future reference.

Dudes I like: Nerlens, McLemore, Otto, Bennett, CJ, KCP, Gorgui, Larkin, Franklin, Ledo, Canaan, Snell, Crabbe. Reaching further: Goodwin, Erik Murphy, Romero Osby, Adonis Thomas, Jamelle Hagins, Will Clyburn, Durand Scott, Brandon Paul.

Dudes I dislike: Adams, Zeller, MCW, Bazz, Withey, Hardaway, Lo Brown, CJ Leslie, Muscala, Kabongo, Carmichael.

You could sell me on almost any trajectory of Oladipo, Len and Burke's careers.

It would be rare that a star player doesn't sign his first extension off his rookie contract.
