Consequence still mad at 'Ye. This mog is hilarious!

i dont think Cons meant that he didnt want Ye to know he was having a baby. he said "it wasnt Tip's place to tell Ye", meaning he was going to tell him himself when the time was ready.

like he said, he feels Tip jumped the gun trying to tell Ye first jockying for a position with Ye.

i will say, Tip (of all people) having to do anything (shady or legit) in a effort to get close to Ye just does not sound right. this is Qtip of ATCQ were talking about.

unless the rumors of Tip being shady are true and people in the industry dont wanna deal with him. who knows?

I thought they went out of their way to say he could have just sent a gift or made a call.

The person I replied to was ODing with the G5 talk.

I'm not OD'ing though... Maybe a little bit of hyperbole... But I'm not about to go back and listen to that annoying slag talk again to try and pull direct quotes. If I remember correctly she started bragging about how much she spent on Don C's kids present or something like that and how Kanye should've gotten their kid something better. And I remember something along the lines of, "You couldn't even send a gift that costs $300?" or something like that. Cons' was just making it seem like 'Ye should've reached out and said congrats.

Have u seen that beats and rhymes documentary about atcq? He seems real shady to me

Wasn't it est that Cons, GLC, & Rhymefest been writing for Ye?

Anyhow. Ever since the real GOOD Music disbanded, Kanye sounds really generic. The last verse I can remember was hard was in Run This Town IMO. People want the old Kanye back, music wise. But he can't even do that cuz his pieces ain't there

You're right, can't get the old Ye' back because Kanye never wrote his stuff in the first place. Cons is salty but he has a good reason to be.

Had to be the case. He sounds like a totally different rapper. I stopped messing w em before 808 cuz lyrically he ain't there at all. He's more of a production, then a MC. Nice interludes and beats, but a average flow.

No way. Gorgeous was one of the best Kanye verses of his career. I see it more as evolution and reinventing himself to benefit the long term life of his career. as brilliant College Dropout was, if Kanye did College Dropout over and over again he would be forgotten.

Co-sign. Those verses was outta here. i wanna kno if anybody ghostwrote them.

many times.

IMO, Phife was being too sensitive.

2 things that stuck out with me on the documentary.

1. Phife himself in the doc said, "if he knew what i was going through, he wouldnt say stuff like that" (talking about what Tip said to him on stage)

...."if he knew", meaning he didnt know because you were keeping your physical pain due to your disease to yourself and Jarobi. you cant get mad at him for that. he didnt know because you didnt speak up.

2. as much as Phife liked to paint a picture that Tip likes it to be about him, as much as he tries to say Tip leaves him out, Phife leaves out Ali just as much.

to use Phife's words again, "i never really felt like it was me and Tip until Jarobi left" (speaking on Jarobi leaving the group).

but when Jarobi left it wasnt just Tip and Phife, it was Ali as well.

but you dont see Ali all up in arms crying and complaining do you?

If cons originally didnt even want kanye to know he was having a kid then why complain!!!???

see my post above.

Kinda OT but since cons ghostwrote Kanyes earlier verses would he be credited in the liner notes of let's say college dropout or would he completely be ghost

You really think those 2 things are the same?

Kanye hearing his mans is having a kid and Cons trying to get 1on1 time with one of the biggest artists in the world?

And you have the nerve to say I'm "not getting it"?

You sound ridiculous. Top to bottom.
Yea you still not, Cons didn't need 1-on-1 time with Ye it aint couples counseling. If it wasn't "that big of a fallout" Cons should have no problem getting Ye on the phone to tell him how he felt.

Yup it's laughable when sometimes people compare him to Jay.

Are you talkin about last few years Jay-Z or back in the day Jay (when he was actually nice)? Cuz Jay aint been spttin harder than him since Ye killed him on run this town

This is an interesting point. If you get writers credit, then you should receive a share of each song on the album you wrote on and the pub checks would still be rolling in. This would be collected by his publisher.

If he didn't get this on Kanye's album, then the alternative is to waive your publishing and just get a "work for hire" arrangement with Kanye directly.

So maybe this is why Cons feels like Kanye owe's him money?

Curious if someone who has his first few albums can chime in on whether Cons of GLC (whatever their real names are) appear as writers on any of the tracks. That's one way to tell what they "ghostwrote".

Not a Jay or Ye Stan, but Ye did not kill him with that verse. It just appeared that way because of the order and him sounding better on a beat which be probably created.

I disagree. and it wouldnt be the 1st time jay got killed on his own song. im pretty sure thats a NoID beat.

Can you name a few of Jay's tracks he got killed on besides Renegade.

Kanye's verse on Run this Town was hard but I wouldnt say he killed Jay. But for the sake of this argument let's give that one to Ye.

With that being said, Jay has been killing Kanye on his own tracks and features for years. Jay took Diamonds are Forever to whole different level when he jumped on the remix.

AND let not forget about the WTT album either.

You and your friends relationship = Consequence and Ye's?

wow

Like Con said they never had a personal fall out it was just business. For a person who was there for Ye, after his mother passed away, I feel like the least Ye could have done was congratulate him on a life changing experience. It was pretty petty on Ye's part, he's basically telling Con that he dont bang with him at all on any level. And yes obviously the show gave him the chance to say what was on his chest. Before the show aired only online forums and hiphop blogs cared about Con's side of the story, and most of them called him labeled him salty of dudes like Pusha and Sean. Now that he has 15 minutes hell yes he's going to let people know how it all went down or at least his side of it.
it dont matter if it was obama and his best friend. I jus thru a example out because i went thru sime similar **** but felt the complete opposite. U mustve forgot only online forums and hiphop blogs know who con is. Like dude before said ole girl had to put the battery in his back cuz thats straight ***** ****. A real ***** gon keep it moving adn make music not cry about what the next man DIDNT do best friends or not.

I dont have any of the booklets anymore but according to discogs (not sure on the accuracy) Cons got credit on Say You Will, Amazing, Paranoid, and Robocop from 808s.

Also everybody was saying Gorgeous was one of his best tracks Rhymefest is listed as one of the writers on that. Take what you want from that :rolleyes

I just peeped that. we'll probably never know how much he contributed to the song. kanye say "i might bounce ideas but i dont have writeas (writers)" but if u just bouncin a idea off somebody u dnt have to give them writing credit. either way i think it make ye's pen suspect

Amber told us bout a year ago Kim and Kanye were cheating w/each other when they were dating Reg/Amber...

What Jen said is nothing new. She's just saying they kept that secret for Ye cuz they were that close...
