Going to Nola friday for the weekend and staying in the french quarter. Can't wait

Right after Superbowl - that place has seen so much action the past few years, although I know this is every year. Glad to see things are turning around for the better though after Katrina. I just heard they're having Wrestlemania 30 there next year, too.

Refresh and politic are sneaker spots to go to....find a poboy spot also some king cake
Republic metro and effel are the spots to party
If all else fails bourbon St and get a hand grande

Yea I thought everyone knew that.... Since we lost cp3 stern was giving us the number one pick and the all star game

Depends on what you're looking to get into. There's a Harrah's on canal if you're into gambling. The Hookah and Jacks are popular clubs. The hipster scene is by magazine st. Since its you're first time the french quarters (bourbon st) should be dope, the rainbow flags should be an indication that you've gone too far on bourbon (unless that's you're scene). Oh and Avoid Jackson st at all cost if you can.

Been living in houston for 6 years now and still havent gone to the NO

i need to make a trip out there for Mardi Gras

As it's been said in here earlier what kind of partying you're into would help determine which direction to send you. I'm probably not the person to ever ask about fun stuff to do during carnival since I tend to gravitate towards house parties on the route with kegs and crawfish boiling. What I'll say is this, go to more new orleans centric forums and ask around to see if anyone has hook ups on MOMS Ball tickets. By far the craziest events I've ever been to in my life.

Second bit of advice is, while the city is here as basically an adult playground, don't push the limits if you can help it. It's possible to get arrested during mardi gras weekend and ruin your and everyone your with's trip. If you get busted for anything during the revelry specifically the weekend and Monday leading up to Mardi Gras, you'll be in lockup until Wednesday afternoon if not Thursday morning at the earliest unless you've got political contacts in the city.

Be safe and have fun.

Just got back. I HAD A ******G BALL SON! Food was amazing, river walk was dope! I hit only the foot locker and sports plus cuz they were close. Y'all have a dope street boutique ( I copped some fly pedestrian) and a while lotta ***! Lol them girls don't be playin! Lot more to share later I'm bout to crash in the hotel. More info in the am

Went this year. Stayed in the french quarters area with like 6 of my boys from school . Crazy times man. Bourbon street, random parties, the tours throughout the city and the food was great. Needless to say we were wasted 90% of the time . Hand grenades are pretty weak tho. You def need a couple with some beers and a fish bowl to get hammered. The bewbs were nice too

Girls ugly friends that block tho :smh:
