never been there

Is there no black culture there? Or maybe they just didn't want to "ruin" the video by showing black people..?

Most of this is filmed at Pioneer Square, which is where a lot of people chill and you'll see every walk of life there.

Portland is much more than that. I love the scenery, the colors, the smells, the freshness of the air, and the feeling in and around Portland. I think it's a great place to live and visit.

 Random people in slow motion + Acoustic background music = Friendliest place on Earth

Yoooo... I didn't wanna be "that" guy, but yeahhh I kinda noticed that.

You'd get robbed and raped with that mentality. That's the trap, lull you in to a false sense of security, lure you in deeper, and then pounce with a gang of meth heads or worse.

I'm pretty the sure the place you want to go is somewhere in Canada.

I'm not seeing what you guys are seeing in that video, looks like an average metropolitan downtown to me

Portland's metro area is very, very chill... probably because lots of retired and should-be-retired hippies live there.

Most of Portland's black community resides in the Albina district, on the NE side of the river.

ever heard of The Lust Killer.......

the Molalla Forest Killer

the Toothfairy Killer

dont judge a book by its cover

dont judge a city by a vid......

I could make a vid of me in my apartment just like that and you would say I have the best life. Far from it....

i travelled along the west coast and without even looking at the video, yes it is the friendliest place. it's cheap, and everyone there from the store clerks to the homeless people to the pedestrians are all extremely nice.

Portland is nice, but the people aren't nearly as friendly as people want you to believe.

Just watched the video. That could be filmed anywhere in America. Go out, film a bunch of bums(literally, half those people in the video were bums that do nothing but hassel you for change) then film people walking and put it all in slow motion.

There are good parts and bad parts of Portland. Personally I am pretty damn tired of the place and all the indie hipsters it seems to attract. You walk around downtown and 90% of the people are dressed like bums. Used to think this is the place I wanted to stay but definitely think I am getting out when I am done with school.

I've yet to travel anything north of San Francisco on the west coast. Portland & Seattle are two places high on my list to visit.
