People really rocking the T-Skirts?

There Jordans & more importantly they're Cements those sneakers are going to be hyped either way. & lets not act like it ain't a bunch of 25+ year old men with boners because of a ****** check on a pair of sneakers because that's the only difference. Me & U both no that quality ain't touching nothing from the 90's mikes

I dont understand how dudes are defending wearing skirts though. Not everything is about "oh they're just being individuals and want to be different." Be a damn man and wear a pair of jeans and a shirt. All this extra **** is unneccesary.

It is hilarious to me that some of ya'll been dissin tall tees with baggy jeans for the last 5 years, but let a rapper wear one with leggings and make it look like a skirt, and it's back in fashion. What's next? Belly button rings? Lipstick?

Even funnier is the fact that most of the dudes dissing that trend, were the same ones defending it when it was "in style".

Your not geting it, this generation doesnt have sometime to latch on to so they

Ride on da 80's-90's coat tails. They know this subconsciously so they look for approval for

All things that represented a authentic era. Cement III's flopped on 94 cuz da 90's were about da bleeding edge

Of da latest & greatest. Now that we're in a era that gets progressively worse people harken back to a prior time when things

Felt more "real". Other then today's technology which is fantastic da social dynamics of humans including fashion has regressed.

I'm really confused about what the hell you are harping on

Just say "I support t-skirts" and save the Gone with the Wind chapters you keep typing

I can't even believe you're comparing J's to dudes wearing skirts

and that cool and all but the era you are describing is two decades Ago it just isnt like that anymore... Its a new generation out here and the influence & Power of hiphop has grew Tenfold. so now instead of people stealing looks from the bosses on their blocks they're stealing looks from rappers.

Their is a huge generation gap btwn now and cats from the 80's because they somehow believe that how things were back then should stay EXACTLY that way. So instead of trying to help out or evolve what's going on now they sit back in their chairs and preach about how **** ain't right & to keep it G young cats are tired of hearing the talk.

In Fashion, Music, art, The Streets etc. etc. We dont really care for the opinions of someone who grew up in an entirely different era

This is less about the influence and power of Hip Hop then it is about social media. Hip Hop has always been influential and powerful.

Look around you. So many people are profiling. Chicks take pictures of themselves everyday and post them on Instagram. Classy.

Dudes taking pictures of themselves for E-props. OK cool.

You are getting defensive and reading way too much into this. No one is saying things should be EXACTLY the same. Growth and evolution are a good thing.

But again, look around you. Do you see the behavior of these women and men as a positive? What are they contributing to society other than saying "look at me"?

You could be doing so many better things with that time (the same way truthfully, I could too instead of posting here. But I ain't doing regular photo shoots. Gotta draw the line somewhere).

Your last 2 lines sum it up perfectly. You say we could be trying to help out or evolve. Why do you think we're commenting? Maybe as a means to that end.

But "you're tired of the talk". And you "don't really care for the opinions". So how are we supposed to help then?

Now what?

Let me ask you guys this question: When did it become masculine to have a SHOE COLLECTION?

SHOES?

I guarantee that dudes a while back would call us effeminate for having more than a couple pairs of shoes. In fact, I bet a lot of dudes will say that about us now. But they're ignorant, right?

Most of us don't have shoe collections

A lot of us do, and almost all of us have had them. This is Niketalk. And maybe not a "collection" but I know a lot of people still say, "Why the hell do you need more than one pair of shoes?"

And also how about shoes to match outfits. Super masculine, right?
1 pair, or 20 pairs- doesnt matter. When i was a kid, we could only afford a pair or 2 a year from payless (until i was about 9). So now, i enjoy being able to buy what i want

1 skirt, or 20 skirts- equally disturbing for a male. I never wanted a skirt as a kid, and this still remains true. Kilts aren't a tradition here, so skirts are only traditional for males if they're crossdressers. Nothing wrong with that, if thats what you wanna do. But to say its because of fashion ....... well.... why the hell am i even bothering
That doesn't change the fact that you wanted to have lots of shoes growing up. SHOES, DUDE. Lusting after shoes has to be a recent trend among males.

I will be wearing shoes every day

I will not be wearing dress/skirts every day

Next
Way to tiptoe around my question. Unless you wear multiple pairs of shoes a day, you don't NEED more than one pair of shoes. Hell, even if you do wear multiple pairs of shoes in a day, uh...

first off i'm 24 and i don't know what background your from but the older generation of cats in my Neighborhood grew up in the crack Era in NYC

for the most part its a bunch of old cats with war stories, who went to jail, came back out with the same toughguy mentality, left their kids to fend for themselves, Are hooked on drugs, Or a combination of all those things.

dudes who think being tough & remaining ignorant is the end all be all of everything and our grown *** men who worry about other grown mens feelings about them.... In the words of 50 "**** them old head ****** they stuck in the 80's"

You are speaking truth here, but you have to admit that there is a middle ground between being a toughguy ignorant hood, and wearing a skirt and panties because your favorite rapper wore 'em.

So there aren't shoes for exercise, formal wear, casual, party shoes?

Even if I have one of each that leaves me with 4 pairs of shoes.

And on top of that I might have multiple shoes under the "exercise" sub-category

C'mon b, your logic makes no sense. So there's no need for multiple articles of clothing?

I consider myself a fashionable, masculine man but I guess you don't find that possible :\

Yes, shoes. Not heels or jellies. We're not talking about having extra items of male clothing here- we're talking about skirts my man, SKIRTS

I know right? It's funny dudes trying to cosign support for their skirt love

I had 50 pairs of sneakers in college from 03-07 and not once did anyone ever consider it feminine

Having many sneakers and rocking them with jeans and tees is mad suspect

some people collect watches, some collect shoes. some men wear high heels, and some men wear skirts, its all the same thing.

f o h!

when i was in the military i had about 50 pairs or so... my gunny tried pulling the feminine card on me a couple times when he couldnt check under my Rack/Bed because it was filled with shoes.. and my closet was filled with shoe boxes... he said only females need this many shoes... " i replied, Gunny I smash a different female every week in different shoes"

im all about proportions, that extra long tee with tight pants just looks aweful....t-shirt is damb near your knees.

You guys are getting so defensive, it's comedy.

I'm not attacking people having lots of shoes. I do.

I'm just saying that many people in the past and present have thought that having lots of shoes was feminine.

I'm not even saying it is. Just that it was CONSIDERED that way.\

This supports my argument that some people STILL believe that having lots of shoes is feminine. Even if it's not true.
