I've always wanted the NBA to create a "Legends" game during All-Star Weekend...let MJ get his fix every year that way.

I'm convinced we'll be hearing about MJ making another comeback all the way up until he's like 80....laugh.gif

They did that for years in the 80's and early 90's.  Schick Legends Game.

The rookie game took its place (East vs. West), followed by the rookie/sophomore game.

That would be nice, just having a rookie East vs West game rather than the rookie/soph game

I don't get why he doesn't play in the celebrity game?

Penny did. Wasn't the best game but Atleast he would be out there

And you know this how............

He wouldn't do anything. How do you figure he would hold his own? Because he is going through some drills with Gerald Henderson? Come on man, he isn't doing anything.

It's beneath Jordan to play in a celebrity game. At least that's what I think his mindset would be if asked to play

But if he ever wants to play again, it would have to be some all star weekend game. He couldn't hold his image if he played a professional game. He would get crushed. He can still play great, but the 23,24,25 year olds can play better than he can RIGHT NOW. Not back then, but now. It would be a bad idea to play anything other than a legends game.

What the hell would be the point of this?

That's not mathematically possible - he would have to play two scoreless games to get to 30.06.

SportingNews: Could Michael Jordan play in the NBA at 50?

http://aol.sportingnews.com/nba/story/2013-02-10/michael-jordan-birthday-50-years-old-chicago-bulls-wizards-kobe-bryant-jamison
Quote:
"I wouldn't doubt that in the right situation with a LeBron (James) on his team or with a Kobe (Bryant) on this team, he could get you about 10 or 11 points, come in and play 15-20 minutes," said Lakers forward Antawn Jamison, according to ESPNLosAngeles.com. "I wouldn't doubt that at all, especially if he was in shape and injuries were prevented and things of that nature."

...

Jordan reset the bar for “oldest player” stats in his two-year stint with the Washington Wizards. Before he retired at 40, Jordan became the oldest player to score 40. And, 50 days shy of his 39th birthday, Jordan became the oldest player to score 50.

To answer DCAllAmerican, we think he would hold his own because, well, when you're the greatest of all time, and can average 22 per, on basically one leg, at 40 years of age, you tend to get the benefit of the doubt. Dropping 50 at 40, and you don't think he can score 15-20 in limited minutes?

Sure he could score 10-12 every blue moon, but he isn't averaging that.

Before we go any further, we have to remember this is hypothetical. So nobody is right/wrong.

But that Wizard stint was 10 years ago man. I don't see him doing that.

Zero percent chance this is Happening..
