Any truth to the rumor that MJ is working out to play 1 game with the Bobcats at age 50?

Not sure about him coming to play an actual game ..

But hasn't he practiced with the team in the past?

Just when you think the Bobcats can't get any more desperate to sell tickets

The rumor that MJ has been working out more intensely with the team was started by Antoni Daimiel from Canal+ during the Timberwolves-Bobcats broadcast last Saturday. And now it's being reported on quite a few sites.

They seem to also be taking into account MJ's HOF speech where he mentioned playing at 50. I don't think any of this will happen, just found it funny since my dad told me about it after he read it on a Portuguese site.

That thread title makes zero sense.
AI has been pushing for an NBA comeback.  Most would agree that MJ returning at the age of 50 - even if only for a single game - qualifies as the more interesting story.

Hence, "move over AI."

Personally, as improbable as it may seem I'd still like to see him play during the last game of the year.  After the way the Wizards treated him, and given all he's done for the sport, I think it's only fitting that he go out on his own terms - wearing #23 for the final time as a member of his OWN team.

If anyone can do it, and if anyone deserves to do it, it's Michael Jordan.

Should change thread title to "Move Over Uncle Drew ". Could you imagine if he all of a sudden started yammin on dudes left and right ?

but the only way mj would get points is if he plays..the bobcats.

dudes gon chomp at the bit to D up Mike and say they ripped him. The comp/ego in the L is a lot different than his little rich guy camps.

Not interested to see an old man try to compete with 20 year olds. I dont care if its MJ or not.

If he comes back it would be crazy. Everyone would be in a frenzy to see the game. It wont be the same.... It will never be the same.

make it happen...

this will be hilarious.

old man Jordan running around

Dude can still hold his own though. He won't be able to log a lot of minutes but for like 10 min in just one game dude can still compete.

Don't see it happening, but at the same time I'd like to see it go down :nerd:

Seeing that 23 on the court one more time would be :smokin

It'd be a great way to promote those hideous XX8's too :nerd:

There is a rule where you can't play for the team you own. That's why MJ had to sell his stock in the Wizards (traded it for stock in the Caps i believe) when he made his comeback. I doubt he would do this for his majority share of the team for 1 game.

I would love to see MJ do it just one more game, even for 20 minutes and if he scored 6 points. It would be a great site to see.
