Beckham is CNN, Sanders is local news son. The whole world knows Beckham including America. Sanders is only really known in America. But with a name like DallasSneakerhead (I'm assuming you're from Dallas), it might be hard to convince you that your Lord and savior isn't what you think.


Wasn't the best player, however, he was one of the best deadball specialists of his time.
Off the pitch, he was the poster boy for English football. Young, women found him irresistible, modelled during the offseason, smashin models, and ended up marrying a Spice girl.

Let's get serious here for a second. You can't compare a Worldwide superstar to a single-country superstar. Beckham is in a league of his own.

Bruh if we talking just cornerback, not return specialist or any offense. Darrell Green was the premier CB of that era. Deion was not a great tackler and was not good in run support. I'm a fan of Deoin despite my team alliance, but as an all around corner Darrell had him beat.

 

Darrell Green is and was a distant second to Deion back in the day champ.  You ask any receiver, or any quarterback which corner they feared going up against more and the answer was Deion.  As it stands, Deion was a SHUT DOWN corner, meaning water cover 2/3 rds of the Earth and Deion covered the rest.  Between Deion and Darrrell, if both were free agents at the same time more team would have choose Deion.  On the all time 100 NFL players list, Deion is ranked higher than Darrelll 

 

Deion wasn't a great tackler, but he got the job done if the ball was ran his way.  Also, like Deion said at his inductee speech, you can asked his mom......he tackled every bill that came his way.

Deion was great do not get me wrong, but you can't sit here and say Darrell did not shut receivers down as well. I'll give it to you that Deion was better in terms of creating pics. But you could put Darrell on the field for any play, any play and knew that he was going to do well. I want a corner who can come off of the edge and give run support, not one who is only going to be great at stopping a receiver. The fact that Darrell did both is special. My man D-Green holds 14 NFL records, 14 of them things.

People get caught up in Deion's persona when they rank him. Ultra flashy, hella showmanship, loved the limelight, and people loved that. You pick Deion to get ticket sales, he is a one man show. You pick Darrell because he will be the rock of your organization for years. Deion is ranked that high because of his return ability and everything else he did. Is he a better athlete, most definitely, but the ranking is biased based on the fact that he played more than corner.

As far as I'm concerned it goes like this from that era just talking about the corner position
