THE AMERICANS on FX -- Season 2 Finale: "Echo" ... Tonight at 10/9c

Haven't learned her name yet and it's weird to say given she's so fine but I think ol fiery Hispanic chick is getting too much screen time. I gotta guess they're either setting it up for her to die or that she's gonna be a permanent cast member and Nina is gonna be the one to die.

Speaking of Nina, that ho is a survivalist. Jumped in to bed with Oleg so easily  :smh: Playing both sides til she finds a way out.

Why did Phil not shoot dude? Did he not have the shot?

Wonder if they'll give the son a story line now. That might be something different. Son was getting his peeping tom/Rear Window on.

phil didnt hear what was said so it would be dumb just to shoot him without knowing the exchange that went down. Besides, isn't he still helping them or something even though he's going to central america?

I could have SWORN when they showed the quick glimpse of the guy calling, it was Beeman's boss.. but it was something about shipping or telemarketing related..good question though. and as for nina, couldn't have said it any better, she knows how to stay alive lol

I'm pretty sure the plan was to murk dude right then and there. Don't think Phil had to listen in. I think Elizabeth was suppose to give a signal and she didn't or he got up real abrupt and dipped. Like maybe Elizabeth was supposed to get up and leave him sitting there for a while.

only if she was in danger, he's a HUGE asset to them as elizabeth keeps telling that girl on the jogging route (cant remember her name)

Was wondering when they'd announce that. I heard numbers weren't doing well but the DVR replays were. Glad to see it renewed.

THE FEELS! Henry done stole the show AGAIN! "I'm a good person!, I'm a good person! You have to believe me, you have to believe me!" :smh: :frown: Give this kid an Emmy. Kill the daughter now and dedicate any spare child scenes to him.

There is just something so twisted about this innocent kid breaking down and pleading with two faced murderers. Man, that was heartfelt.

Lucia :smh: ***** just didn't learn. Too fiery and dumb. I was thinking she was gonna shoot herself with her own dart but for it to actually happen  Messed up Elizabeth had to make the right call and watch her die.

Nina probably gonna get caught too. I can see some messed up **** like Stan killing her when it's all said and done. I wish she would've went out dancing all reckless like.

Phil out here feeling like he killed 160 of his own ppl. I almost thought he was gonna return the camaro.

Stan out here simping hard, breaking rules risking his life, ignoring his wife and is just extra frustrated. Him slamming the car door  :smh:

Lucia had what was coming to her. Elizabeth told her not to go after him. She was a wreckless and stubborn person. Being a spy definitely wasn't for her.

Wonder what will be of Martha now? A lot of the FBI intel comes from her.

I thought Phillip was gonna leave the camaro there. After hearing about the fake plans about the propeller, he seemed like he didn't want to get in an american made car.

Stan :smh:. Dude is all kinds of frustrated.

Nina looked like she was scared of Oleg, he must come from a very powerful family or something.  I think that shes going to try and con Stan into murdering Oleg and then setting up Stan to get caught.  Because like she said, it cant go on forever.

Phil and Elizabeth have themselves in a tough situation with their kids.  Do they think they will be able to do this forever and not get caught?  Eventual their house of cards will fall and chances are their innocent children will go down with them.  At the beginning of the episode i found myself wondering if eventually they will desert the KGB, but then at the end it seemed like they were further from that than ever.  I still think that is the endgame of this show though.

Good episode.  Lucia had to go..

I knew Lucia was too yolo for this life, but mannnn. :smh: Of course, it's ******* Beecher from Oz who did it. Of course. :rolleyes

I'm happy Phil didn't play the tape for Martha, though, but all these feelings Phil and Liz are catching, are gonna catch up with them.

And Reagan. >D I mean, through today's eyes, dude is basically Darth Vader.

Man, it was too soon for Lucia to go but she want out like a dummy. Like percy. percy. said up there, Elizabeth told her to leave him alone. There would most likely be another time to get him but the mission comes first.

Master Zik Master Zik , I feel you on that scene with Henry. That was heart felt. I have a 10 year old boy & I kept imagining what if that were my son.

ONeg, for those that know, Reagan wasn't Vader, he was Emperor Palpatine. The Iran-Contra affair is the sole reason why the US saw the crack epidemic in the early 80s. The CIA even helped bring the massive amounts of coke to the US.

Son, I'm so behind on this show. Went away for a few weeks and haven't caught up.. trying to avoid spoilers.

Need to get back on this and GoT, even though the past GoT ending was ruined for me. :smh:

I'd be lying if I said, more than a little of my opinion on Reagan came from this:

 But yeah I vaguely knew about Iran-Contra and heard theCIA gave crack to the hood.
And that mostly all the worst politicians worshiped Reagan like he was John Wayne mixed with Elvis.

stan's wife told him she was leaving to get her back blown out by tyrone and my dude just let her walk

I love how Rhys emotes so well to convey Phil's anger, frustration, and disappointment over having to keep killing ppl, the trucker dying needlessly and how he takes it out, 1) on Henry who is a good person going back to him being begging for forgiveness then 2) on their spoiled brat of a daughter who is pretty ungrateful, and 3) a bit on Liz saying she can this war easier than he does (which she does whether it's by internalizing it or not). I really thought son was gonna murk a preacher in a church  Overall son is just not happy with how things have been going down.

 @ Stan. How ya wife tell you the truth and say yo I'm about to be about to have an affair but I aint divorcing you. I know you doing dirt too so deal with it.

It's really something else how going through this powerful impactful **** how they still do their job. I though Phil was just gonna smash Martha and be out. Liz going to work showing that grind don't matter if she gotta go to AA.

I'd need 6 bottles to smash Martha..... 6 bottles and a paper bag  That's really just jokes with your boys whether in the office or not. Messed up she had to hear that.

Another good ep. Next week looks crazy.

Matthew Rhys in this episode :wow: :pimp:. What a powerful performance, should be his Emmy submission. No dambs given tonight by Phillip.

Phillip and Elizabeth both snapped at Paige. Elizabeth woke her up and told her to clean and do the laundry in the middle of the night. She looked so dumbfounded.

Stan :smh:. Dude is just taking so much L's right now.

Interesting scene with Gaad and Arcady.

I really loved this episode. It was dark and although not much violence, the emotional and psychological stress they went through in this episode was marvelous. Matthew Rhys just killed it tonight.

That look on Phil's face having to sit there and listen to that sermon in church, and when they found out the daughter gave her money to the church and Phil started tearing up the pages of the Bible.

Like you guys said, I thought that he was going to take out the pastor there at the end.

Stan has been on a losing streak so far....last week slamming his car door in the garage and now his wife letting him know she is getting the deed elsewhere, lol

hopefully in the season finale, philip takes stan out.wishful thinking i guess

stan is a main character, doubt he gets murked so soon.

Without him, there is no one worth following on the fbi side

Damn those two really hate organized religion. Paige donating all her money was dumb as hell. When I went to church I gave a dollar. If becoming religious is the worst thing she's done, then oh well.

I'm liking their new handler. Wonder what sort of trouble she'll get into.
