7 year old handcuffed by NYPD over $5...mom suing for 250 mil.

Parents are ******g up with this wilson kid. they make it seem like the kid was given that cameras off phonebook across the face treatment. i think its a good scare tactic to try to get the kid straight. the time was excessive tho.

...unless kid feels good about the fact he got arrested.
Completely agree.

you dont gotta explain yourself to me man...i shouldnt even have came at you like that...got 'rustled' due to the topic..lol..my bad b...

bottom line tho, 7 year olds shouldnt be handcuffed and interrogated 10hrs for stealing dude and taking his lunch money...

now, if a 7 year old did what you were saying, smuggling drugs or aliens then by all means put him in cuffs...treat him like an adult..

you cant treat a kid like a grown up, for doing children things tho...i saw dudes getting their lunch money took up until high school...its the way of life...it happens in the worse schools, it happens in the best schools...

aint no lesson to be learned here...and i think the state of NY will agree with me when they break his mother off wit a fat check..

Kids don't give a damn about a suspension man. Taking away his Recess? What is that going to do. Children do not FEAR consqeunces. You literally have to bribe kids these days to do anything. It is sickning.

LOL I've always wondered what teachers were tryna accomplish with suspensions. You mean I get to stay home play video games and fap all day?

Wait, your parents didn't take your games away when you got suspended?

I remember one time, my mom took it further & stripped me of my jordans.

Suspension was the worst. I couldn't go outside either. I had to write like a 3 page apology letter to my dad one time

One issue I have with this whole "Anti-Bullying" campaign is it seems to excuse kids from being soft. Instead of trying to teach these kids to be comfortable in their own skin, take some martial arts/boxing classes we tell these kids basically to ball up and take the punishment and then run and tell an adult.

I think getting picked on, joaned on, and the occasion fight is a part of growing up. It is a part of earning your stripes. It is a part of becoming tough.

Now I think the issue today is folks are killing themselves more, so I guess I can understand why it is such a campaign.

But we have to make tougher kids.

And as usual, when most kids don't have daddies around, a big portion of that toughness apprenticeship is missing. (No I am not saying that having a father = tough kid.)
(No I am not saying that not having a father = soft)

Not sure what's more absurd.

The kid getting arrested or the mom attempting to sue for 250 m's.

anyone cosigning the handcuffing of a 7 year old child is a ******g idiot flat out

kids get bullied in elementary school its what happens it's supposed to teach you to stand up for yourself but instead we'd rather raise a bunch of p****** my pops wouldve whooped my *** if I went home crying about some kid beating up on me

I hope she gets every cent nypd stays going too far this should've been a school matter at the most give the lil kid a detention

"kids need this" yea we should get lil black kids comfortable with mistreatment from law enforcement as they'll have to deal with it their whole lives

Exactly, if someone took my childs 5 dollars son your gona have to fight that boy, you may win you may loose, but you will be a man....

if the school has had any history with this kid being a bully then they shouldn't get anything, but also we weren't in the interrogation room..

kid was probably saying things like the kid deserved it and whatnot, at 8 i was in a gang selling weed, but there isnt much to do in government housing, bad influences all around..
no you werent....guarantee it
C13 was the gang.

calexico was where i lived the 13 is for allegiance to La EME..

just because you were inside playing N64 when you were 8 doesnt mean everyone was.

alot of the people we knew were either smuggling aliens or drugs it was alot easier back then.
Who would take a dime bag from an 8 year old

I wouldn't even be in the mood to smoke anymore lol would kill my vibe

It's illegal to arrest and detain/question a minor under 17 years of age in NYC, without parental consent.

Hope the NYPD has to pay through their teeth and the children of the responding officers are criminalized and dehumanized in the same manner.

Welp, thre you have it. That family bouta' be filthy rich.

I have mixed feelings. It definitely seems excessive but it also seems pretty clear that suspending the kid wasn't going to do anything. This says enough
Wilson’s purported accomplice confirmed Seth’s account of the street robbery.
and that the bully didn't just find $5 the kid he'd been bullying even after a meeting with the parents at the school, so it's clear he hadn't learned his lesson. The attorney covers for him to get a payday as does the mom and nothing's learned if they win a lawsuit.

All that said, I don't agree with 6 hours of being handcuffed. It won't happen but the ideal situation if there's a case and they won would be to award the bully's family $250k or something to be held in an account with interested earned and only to be released if and when the kid attends college. Pipe dream though.

No seven year old kid should be put in jail unless he commits premeditated murder. No 8 year old kid becomes a drug dealer or a human trafficker by choice.

It all comes from bad parenting, when parents aren't around and kids are on the streets and all they got to look up to is a drug dealer who makes him feel like his little brother he's going to do whatever that older guy tells him just so he can be cool in his eyes.

For the most part whipping your kids never solves anything. My cousin has been getting his *** whopped his whole life, it started with the palm of his parents hands, escalated to the belt, after the belt it was the cords (cable cords, extension cords) then they upgraded to the horse whip. Parents whip kids ***** but kids will get used to a 3 minute beating and then they'll go on with their lives.

I'm pretty sure cops can arrest minors.

He wasn't handcuffed for 6 hours. He was detained for that long. All that being said, no one can account for the whereabouts of the mom in that time frame. I'm pretty sure she was notified on the spot as soon as her son was apprehended. If not, that's where the lawsuit will gain momentum.
