Probably in the minority here, but I waited to have kids until I knew I was done being selfish and could completely dedicate the next ~20 years of my life to my wife and kids.  No regrets.

I am 32 so, no I didn't think about what I was giving up but more so what I was gaining.

I'm looking forward to having our son and having a new sidekick to watch grow up and experience things through.

My wife and I will have been married for 6 yrs prior to having a kid, so we def got a lot out of our system, etc.

I don't have any friends so I knew I wasn't missing anything  As long as I had my PS3 (now PS4) and something the whole family could watch, I knew I'd be aight.

For me, it's my hobbies. I have too many. I've decided to narrow them down and focus all my attention to my family. As far as going out with friends, they just had a kid too lol. So when it comes to 'going out' its usually dinner and hangout at their home.

Yeah, lucky for me, I have a lot of hobbies that keep me home  Plus I'm still able to go out to eat with my boys a couple times a week, play bball and go to the gym after work, so I don't feel like I'm "stuck" at home or anything. But usually, from 8pm until I go to bed at ~midnight, I hog up my baby and hold her as much as I can. I just love this little girl so much :wow:

Thanks for all your responses fellas.

Don't get me wrong im excited af and can't wait for my little human to get here, but I also had that little feeling deep down like the party is over lol.

I kind of get jealous when I see friends of mine out partying and what not and I know that I wont be out there. Hard to say goodbye I guess lol.

But I know it's all a part of growing up. And I'm ready for the responsibility.

Just a better and more fun party.

And you shouldn't completely stop going out. Will you be going out like you used to? Nope. But a night every once in a while to catch some drinks with the homies never hurt anyone.

Youre real friends know what responsibility is and the territory that comes with it. The feeling you get when you're child puts you on a pedestal outweighs any friendship with any living soul :smokin

Depends, when you had the kid. Some of the dad's that had a kid too early think like that. I was almost 30 when my son came into this world. I was already partied out.

Had my 1st when I was 20. My 5th came 2 yrs ago. Im the bartender/dj when we turn up with the homies. We usually at it til sunrise. So there goes your theory

my first kid came when i was 19... then living with my in laws was a pain in the ***, strain on my relationship with my wife... it was all good when we got our own spot..
i stayed home a lot... my real homies came over to drink and bbq cuz they knew i had to handle business at home... im done having kids now... 2 kids 13 and 9....

OH YEAH.... SCHOOL SHOPPING IS COMING UP!!! ... i usually buy my kids some clothes and new kicks, then wait til the season start to change then buy them more just in case they grow more... my son is a size 4 in shoes so i gotta pay that extra money for them big boy shoes... what a price jump :x

school just started. my twins first day of preschool. time goes by so quick. its crazy felt like they were babies yesterday
Rep to you my man.  My son starts preschool tomorrow and I'm dreading it.  Nobody is going to care for that kid like my wife and I do and it terrifies me letting that control go.  I better end this post before I start tearing up... got something in my eye man.

double trouble b

1 daughter has me being a softy father.....couldn't imagine two
